Exxon's own internal research confirmed climate change in the 1970s while they spent forty years funding external denial. That's not speculation. That's court evidence.

Now think about incentives. The average climate scientist makes professor wages if they're lucky. Shares an office with two grad students. Drives a ten year old car. Begs for grant funding. That's your conspirator? That's who's maintaining the greatest scientific fraud in history?

Meanwhile, every scientist on Earth would love to be the one who proves climate change isn't happening. They'd be famous overnight. They'd be in history books. Entire scientific careers are built on proving other scientists wrong. That's literally what peer review is. The incentive structure points in the opposite direction of a conspiracy.

So what's more likely?

A.) Every scientific institution on Earth, thousands of underpaid researchers across every country, all coordinating a lie for no personal benefit with zero defections.

B.) The trillion-dollar fossil fuel industry, which was already caught doing exactly this, spends a fraction of its profits on blogs and talking points to delay regulation.

That's the real Occam's Razor test. One side requires a thousand assumptions. The other requires one. And the one has receipts.

And here's the part almost nobody talks about. The scientific community doesn't even agree on everything within climate science. They argue constantly about timelines, feedback mechanisms, tipping points, regional impacts, model sensitivity. There's fierce internal debate about the details. That's what a healthy scientific ecosystem looks like. What they don't disagree on is whether it's happening and whether humans are driving it. If this were a coordinated lie, they'd all agree on everything. The fact that they fight about the details while agreeing on the fundamentals is what genuine consensus actually looks like. Manufactured consensus is uniform. Real consensus is messy everywhere except at the foundation.

Small conspiracies happen all the time. Five people can fake data. A company can hide a defect. A government can lie about a war for a while, or a murder...

But global, multi-decade, multi-discipline conspiracies are structurally impossible because they require:

perfect information control

perfect incentive alignment

zero whistleblowers

zero rival factions exploiting it

zero prestige seekers breaking ranks for fame.

That combination has literally never existed in human history.

Not for religions, not for empires, not for intelligence agencies, not for the Catholic Church, not for the USSR, not for the NSA. The bigger and longer the system, the more it fractures. Always.
Science is one of the most adversarial human systems ever built. It is explicitly designed to fail conspiracies. Peer review, replication, data sharing, international competition, ideological diversity. It's basically a distributed lie detection engine run by people whose main hobby is proving each other wrong.

If climate change were fake, it wouldn’t require a conspiracy of scientists. It would require the first perfectly functioning global human institution in history.

The fact that China does not participate in this sham shows where it’s coming from. They’re building coal processing centers every week. For the same reason China is funding activists to protest the building of data centers, China finances the climate change protests: to stop the US from outstripping China. Fossil fuels are the engine of capitalism. If you can curb their use, you can slow America down. That’s the whole game. Hasn’t it become obvious with the events in the Strait of Hormuz how critical oil is for the world? Trump isn’t playing their game. It’s time to end the climate change scam once and for all.

Second, China is currently the world's largest installer of solar and wind capacity. They're building coal plants and renewables simultaneously because they're industrializing at scale while also trying to secure energy independence. The Chinese Academy of Sciences endorses the climate consensus. Chinese climate researchers publish in the same peer reviewed journals and reach the same conclusions. If climate science is a Western anti capitalist operation, China's own scientists didn't get the memo.

I have not taken a stance on green energy or fossil fuel policies at any point in this or any thread I've posted on in this sub forum. You should try engaging with the arguments I'm actually making. It makes for better conversation.

The fact that you are terminally stupid is shown by your post. A warming trend on land and ocean leads to a changing climate. In other words, global warming is the cause of a changing climate that affects everything from our forests, water supplies, and agriculture, to where it is safe to live. Climate change also contributes to extreme weather events, like the Texas freeze, the 100 square mile forest fires of the Pacific Northwest. Yes, climate change does create conditions for cold in places not used to extreme cold, heat in place not used to heat, like 121 degrees in Lytton, BC.

China has 1.4 billion people to provide power for. When they started their industrial revolution, the wind and solar were more expensive than fossil fuel generation. Now both wind and solar are less expensive than fossil fuel generation, and China leads the world in the adaption of both those forms of generation. They also lead the world in the research in both those technologies. And in the time from lab to production. Also China leads in battery research, in EV production both auto and trucks. It is sad that they have an authoritarian form of government, but you have to give them credit for what they have achieved.

We need power for the data centers right now. Even natural gas takes a long time to construct, and put in the pipe lines for the fuel, to say nothing of the time from orders to delivery for the turbines. Large wind farms and solar farms can be constructed and put online in a year. Not only that, but the land both sit on can also be used for agriculture, parking lots, and the data centers themselves could be covered with solar.

Renewable energy cant meet the demand they just cant make enough. It doesnt matter how many you make in fact the more you build the worse it gets. Solar cant work at night and when it gets cloudy. Wind is also unreliable.
Fossil fuels coal LNG and Nuclear are now replacing green energy.
Europe which has 30% greern energy is losing businesses to America because of energy costs and shortages. Green costs more because you need another source. There is no human caused climate change so there is no reason to build them. Wind turbines are the moist destructive and expensive last only 10 years and put carbon fibers in our lungs. Trump is canceling contracts and solar farms are going broke in large numbers.
