I've reached this decision after discussing the issue with several people.

For the first time in history, the United States will not have a Presidential debate in either party.

Now I realize the GOP has one without Trump but Trump is like the incumbent Biden, who is untouchable.

And with the legal troubles looming over Trump during the time to debate Biden, will Trump decline based on not wanting to talk about his cases before trial? So it may be that we won't get those debates either.

I've discussed the issue with a few democrats and republicans and the consensus is the same, they don't care. None of them care.

However, according to polls well than half the majority in each party don't want to see another Biden/Trump match up, which is unavoidable now.

The party system is pure poison. All that motivates people to vote now is how their cult party tells them to vote, even though it is not really what they want.

Imagine people having to listen to a candidate talk and assess them by themselves, without their party telling them to discard them because of their particular party they are affiliated with.

People's brains would implode!!

This thread belongs in the "rubber room". Blasphemy! More parties to divide the electorate even further?
Politics evolves, there are MANY other parties to support. Take your pick!
Don't forget to add the "No Labels" party for 2024.

Agreed. Political parties should be abolished. Every candidate should stand alone.

And while we’re dreaming, let’s abolish all private funding of political campaigns and impose term limits on Congress.
Now you are just talking crazy.

Remember, Congress reigns supreme.

They will be there till their dying day.

It's funny Republicans love Trump so much but hate Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren. They are the real 2 who want to drain the swamp. But the corporate media has them calling these people socialists.

Bernie calls himself a socialist.

However, Bernie talks about socialism when discussing Europe and then Venezuela, when both are so dramatically different.

Then Bernie calls himself a socialist to boot.

No wonder people are confused. Question is, is Bernie this confused or does he confuse people on purpose?

What say you?

Absolutely!! The party system impedes on every level. No more separate primaries or places on the ballot. The candidate runs on his own.

Here is a crazy idea, how about simply looking at his policy proposals to get yourself out of confusion?

His proposals are not to nationalize industries like Venezuela or do away with capitalism, his proposals are higher minimum wage and public funding of education/healthcare like some Europian countries.

When Capitalism is working for the masses, like it did before they sent all those high paying blue collar manufacturing union jobs overseas, no way you could sell socialism to the American people. But what if Capitalism no longer works for the masses?

Socialism as Popular as Capitalism Among Young Adults in U.S.

Those kid are 18 so they get to vote, need to work, etc. You can't just tell them capitalism is great. It has to be great.

There is nothing wrong with the parties themselves, it's the people in those parties that fuck up everything.

There was a time when even democrats still cared about America. True they still messed up stuff, republicans messed up also but not as much as democrats. But still, they used to be a party that had the best interest of America at heart in general.

Now this new breed of democrat don't give two shits about America. They only care about their own personal financial and political gain. Meanwhile republicans are scrambling to try and set things right but it's hard when they are fighting against a party with most of the msm in their pocket and tons of extremely rich and powerful people behind them like bill gates and George soros. And Republicans are a bit fractured.

The system is fine, but we need to get rid of everyone that isn't in it for what they can get. They are in it because they love America and have real American values, pride, morals and standards. But that's a damn tough battle to fight.

Even democrats that loved our nation like tulsi gabbard were run out by the others. They are a cancer that needs to be removed, and republicans need to band together.

The people who suddenly claim to be dissatisfied with major political parties are generally democrats who hate Trump but can't bring themselves to support Biden.

False choice. All developed countries are fundamentally mixed economies and it's just a question of balance.

Do away with freedom to peaceably assemble? ... do we want to bring back guilt by association? ... we'll need to make voting a public matter ... if we don't let conservatives vote as a block, then we'll need access to these voting blocks to persecute the them ... say, lose a finger first offense, a hand second offense ... I think the Quran says to lose your genitals on third offense ...

The problem isn't political parties, the problem is centralized government ... our system here in the USA works best with smaller units of governance ... counties and townships can decide and provide most government services, as needed ... the State should only be watching to make sure everything done at county or township level is honest ...

I'd send more Border Agents myself, but until then, I guess I shouldn't complain if Santa Cruz County, Arizona (Tucsan/Nogales), residents want to start shooting at Mexicans across the border ... this is where the AR-15 can really shine ... it's a damn good gun ...

THEY have an illegal immigration problem ... if Congress doesn't fix it, then let the Arizona Militia ... I'd send more Border Agents myself ...

Yeah, thats why they support corporatists. LOL
Who supports corporatists? I support them too. I just want them to pay their fair share. Just like you want the rich and the Biden's to play by the rules. We all liked it when Trump Corporation was found guilty of tax fraud. Right? I know you think a corporation can be charged but not the CEO but that's bullshit. You know Trump instructed his CFO to dodge those taxes. But that guy took a fall for Trump.

Bernie said the rich don't pay their fair share. Isn't that true?

Ok now is when you start defending the rich. CEO pay went up 1322% since 1978 and your pay only went up 18%. Sucker.

You say they want to drain the swamp, when they literally publicaly support corporatists.
I support everyone paying their "fair share" Thats why I support redoing the entire tax code. You know, instead of political theatre bullshit like raising tax rates.
You are seriously an idiot, dude. No joke.

I want to see RFK and Biden and Trump on a stage together so Biden to debate, instead of lemmings like yourself being spoon fed the DNC narrative that Biden's opponents are either too crazy or corrupt to debate or they are simply too unworthy to even talk to.

It's not that simple.

The people need to come together to devise a plan to defeat the two major partiies.

That's far from being possible on account of a huge majority of Americans support the two parties.

But at least someone has started thinking of what has to happen

But of course that thinking has happened to a much greater degree in many previous years and has always been a resounding failure.

And now America has to try to deal with an outstanding attempted coup first!

Bernie and Pocahontas have no intention of draining the swamp. They are of the swamp. They’ve made this perfectly clear.
