After the corruption was exposed to the world regarding his administration, he has decided not to run for a second term as governor as he will step down in complete and utter shame.

Too bad he did not have the foresight to step down as the VP for Kamala as well, which also helped drag her down. But, it was not all Tim's fault, it was the lack of judgement of Harris and the DNC to pick him as their VP.

In a way, they kind of deserved each other.

In any properly functioning system, Tim Walz would be under investigation and probably detained as a flight risk due to his international connections in China and Africa (at least).
