Yep. This is the training we got in the mandatory CCW class. You let the LEO know three things in order:

1. You're going to cooperate and your hands will be in view and immobile at all times

2. You're legal and the weapon is legal, and you have all the required paperwork on you

3. Where the weapon is, and they're welcome to take it and you won't resist

It's important the LEO feels like he's in control of the situation and knows what's going on.

Yes, when someone has a firearm that they have not disclosed, LE have every right to use lethal force when the perp is in a struggle for control. I have every belief that the idiot that was killed had every intention of using that gun on them if he had been able to grab it before they did. And since he continued to fight with them, they had every right to believe that he may have had another one on his person somewhere after they took the first one that he didn't disclose. They do what they have to do to go home to their families at night, and when you do stupid things when encountering them you may not. Stupid is as stupid does.

What you said changes nothing about what the law is, you don't get into a struggle with LE while having a concealed weapon on you and not disclosing it, period. He wrote his own death sentence, stupid is as stupid does.

And at the end he wasn't helping her, while they were trying to grab him, he was pulling her along with him like the apparent coward he was. If he had stopped at that point, knowing he had a weapon on him, put his hands up and told them he had a conceal/carry, he would have lived. He made all of the wrong choices and he paid for it.

• The Trump administration, caving in to the crocodile tears of the left, and ending the law enforcement operation

If Trump backs down, the left will claim victory, and know they can prevent ICE operations in any city they control - which is most of them. They don't give a hoot in hell about illegals getting deported, they want to deny Trump political victories, and are happy to spend people to do it.
