Thumbs Down On Trump Taking the Qatar 747!

You goldfish swallowed the bait again. LOL It's like every damn day and you STILL don't get that you are being played.
Can you answer these questions?

1). How much will this free gift cost to make it POTUS ready to fly?
2). How many months will it take to make this plane POTUS ready?

A lot. The current AF1 is 35ish years old. The new airframe is 22 years younger. That gives a significant decrease in operating costs.

My guess is it will take about a year to do everything correct.

Funny how sources keep referencing permissions. But so what? It would make no difference to MAGA.

What’s it like for Qatari women?

A Human Rights Watch report in 2021 found that women in Qatar are living under a system of “deep discrimination” through a system of government that means women are often dependent on men for permission to marry, travel, pursue higher education or make decisions about their own children.
The Qatari government rejected the accounts in the report as “inaccurate”, saying they do not truly represent the country’s “constitution laws or policies”.
But Rothna Begum, women’s rights researcher, told The Guardian that: “Women are often asked to have permission from a male guardian even if it’s not written in the regulations. So, the government told us that women don’t need male permission to work, yet in many government jobs HR [human resources departments] were saying: ‘Show us a letter from a man.’
“There are no anti-discrimination laws in Qatar, no agency you can go to if you want to complain. There are no functioning women’s rights organisations who can monitor how women are treated or hold the government to account.”
oh you guys !!! 😂

Hate Arabs????

Why do you folks completely blow off sources that negate the misinformation you’re spreading. See look anybody can make a post about Jews or white Christians or blacks and then say hey “Look look there is widespread discrimination!!”.

Look at the whole picture my friend

Also Saudi Arabia cooperated with Israel, providing them important intelligence to help thwart an attack by Iran recently

Human Rights Watch vs AI

For MAGAts that's no contest.

Absurd. He isn’t getting the gift. America is.

And for all your suspicions about some theoretical quid pro quo, you have zero facts.
And your hunches are influenced by your general attitude toward President Trump. You aren’t especially credible, therefore.

The plane will be transferred to his presidential library, and he'll have access for it's usage after he leaves office. Which will of course, somehow be maintained by the United States, free of charge. This is how the emoluments clause will be circumvented.

Why else would Qatar do this? The fact that you would even need to ask this is comical. It doesn't take some brain surgeon to figure it out. They're an autocratic authoritarian regime and they know a fellow corrupt scumbag and sleeze when they see one. They'll give him this "gift" expecting Trump to return the favor down the line. It's that simple.

President Trump should not take the $400 million Boeing 747 as a gift from Qatar to replace Air Force One. The primary reason has to with the character and values that a U.S. President should always exhibit. America is the greatest country on earth it has been abundantly blessed by God in a league unto itself. The President of the United States is the leader of this awesome country his actions as President should rise to the level of the stature of the country and not only be guided by principle but always give the impression that they are. Accepting a gift of this size tarnishes the integrity of President Trump it can raises the issue in reasonable people's minds that he is possibly inclined to favor the country of Qatar in Presidential decisions contrary to what principles call for. The wrongdoing here is in perception and such a perception is relevant because issues lie with Qatar where a bias could make a difference; one being the U.S. has a major air base in Qatar if a peace deal is reached in the Ukrainian War and a European Union peace keeping force is established on the armistice line and the U.S. is drafted to protect this peace keeping force sensible judgment could call for a downgrade on the resourcing of this Qatar base and an upgrade of resourcing U.S. bases closer to Ukraine, a Qatar biased President might not follow common wisdom here based on that bias! Also, a President should protect the Office of the Presidency, he or she should not establish precedents that weaken the office; accepting gifts of humongous monetary value would then justify future Presidents doing the same a President sanctioning such behavior weakens the Office of the Presidency it subjects it to be unduly influenced by such gifts. Further, good leaders try to follow the same rules that rank and file in their organization have to follow; rank and file members of the U.S. government have to follow ethics rules where there is a prohibition against receiving gifts. President Trump contrary to the spin is in reality violating this ethical rule which is not displaying the quality of leadership the American people would hope their President would display!

One thing that really doesn't make too much sense to me is the taking on this controversy really worth it to President Trump I mean from the standpoint of the following this Qatar 747 is going to have to be turned into an Air Force One (Suitable for the President) plane meaning that U.S. authorities have to take this Qatat 747 and add a missile defense system too it; harden the structure of the plane so it can fly through a nuclear radiation cloud and the occupants of the plane won't be killed or severely sickened by radiation, add sophisticated communication which a President needs and add the technology that allows the plane to be refueled in the air, this will probably take the better part of two years so President Trump will have a luxurious 747 for the last two years of his term is this short period of reward worth tarnishing your reputation for integrity over, I don't think so! Today, CNN reported that the cost to do everything that will need to be done to the Qatar 747 plane to make it an Air Force One plane will be $750 million dollars, apparently the plane needs to be completely disassembled to check for listening devices and then reassembled; if Trump takes the Qatar 747 gift and pursues the modification with this price tag it will really set him up for great ridicule because he has repeatedly bragged about how he did an outstanding job in negotiating for the new Air Force One planes from Boeing how Boeing originally quoted over $5 billion for them and how he President Trump stood his ground and wouldn't go to four billion or higher and how he prevailed with the deal ending up being $3.999 billion. People will say why didn't Trump just agree to $4.75 billion for the new Air Force One planes Boeing wouldn't have gotten a fair profit out of the deal and been incentivized to fill the order quickly and Trump would probably have new Air Force One planes right now he could fly around in instead of twelve to forty year old Boeings that are not near the same quality of plane!
It would be easier if you just posted the things Trump has done that you give a thumbs up to.

The Saudis also gifted the US a rare Arabian leopard which will be housed at the Smithsonian Zoo.

Plane, leopard whatever. They are gifts to America.

TDS got your brain with the plane. It's all a distraction from what really matters...
  • Trump is encouraging the Middle East to trade goods instead of bombs
  • He is the first POTUS in 25 years to meet w/ Syria
  • He's bringing Syria back to the US, instead of Russia and Iran
  • Middle East will fund hundreds of thousands of new American jobs with their investments
  • He's going to get all the Middle Eastern big players on our side, so that Iran will have to cave and we won't have to bomb them to glass.

Brilliant strategy from Trump, as usual.

A. The plane is not a personal gift to Donald Trump. It is a gift to the United States.

B. CNN said it'll cost $750 million? They have been caught in a lot of lies, I wouldn't trust them. They probably told you it was a personal gift.

C. ANY plane would have to be fully refitted, and if it takes two years, it's still faster than Boeing will ever deliver.

D. But I'm sure that the underlying thing fueling this is the TDS .

Said you, making shit up.

Property of a Presidential Library belongs not to the former President but to the U.S. government.

You could even look iit up!

Your commentary assumes a lot of horseshit which you simply make up. You’re wrong.
Why else would Qatar do this?
I assume they wish to curry favor with us while President Trump is in office. Duh.
The fact that you would even need to ask this is comical.
No. Your response is the joke. As usual.

Well the actual thing is that creepy started this one. Doh!

It would be used by every president after Trump, too. Like I said, he already has a personal plane; why would he want another?
Trump's plane is a 35 year old 757.

This is a 13 year old 747, much bigger, fancier, newer.

That is why he would want another.

well trump's 757 is his. The Air Force One is forty years old, and he had requested a new one in his first term from Boeing and they stalled it. this would be America's plane, not Trump's, it's a gift to the USA.

When he finishes his term, he relegates it to a relic in his presidential library. He still won't be using it. In no way, shape, nor form, will he be owning the aircraft.
So USA just spends a billion dollars clearing and upgrading a plane so Trump can use it for a short time, then spend tens of millions removing equipment to gift it to his library, then the next president goes back to using the existing AF1 planes until the new ones are finished being built.

That is just spending lots of taxpayer money for zero gain, other than Trump's ego. What happened to slashing spending and rooting out waste?

How is it a gift to USA if we have to spend so much money upgrading it, then it goes to Trump's library after only a very short time in service of our government?

USA gains nothing, they already have planes that act as AF1 and had plans to continue to use them until the new ones are finished. USA spends lots of money upgrading a plane, then Trump gets it. That is a gift to Trump, not USA, and we pay for the upgrades to this plane to feed his ego.

Nothing like draining the swamp and reigning in government spending, vanity plane.
