I want America to be great, but not at the sacrifice of my own self respect. I want her to be feared and respected again, but not at the cost of what made her great, and not for what she stands for.

I asked myself a question the other night:

If one engages in evil to confront a greater evil, are they not the greater evil?

Really? What's insane about the MAGA vision? As a libertarian (small "L") aka classical liberal, I fully appreciate and support that vision. There's nothing extreme or radical about it. It is essentially restoring the vision, concepts, belief, principles, values this country was founded on and that made it the greatest nation the world has ever known.

I have a half MAGA Republican buddy who speaks the same way…He’s an old-school establishment guy…He wants Republicans to keep doing what they’ve always done. He pretends they haven’t got their asses handed to them for decades. He pretends Republicans don’t need to stoop to the level of Democrats to beat them…He’s loony.
