Massie has never talked about or supporting gutting SS or MC. Paying for it, without borrowing to fund it is important to keep it at least somewhat solvent. Gutting the waste and fraud, and making it more efficient will only help those who really need it, keep it.

I think that the terms themselves actually have become a fad. They've certainly be adopted as such, observably.

The fundamental, underlying principles involved which actually render them meaningful are seldom understood and therefore ignored in this modern electoral demograph, however.

I used to push back about the concept of centrist - it just seemed like "compromise" between the bad shit of the left and the bad shit of the right. But I have come to appreciate consensus far more then when I was young. A government that isn't stable can't persist. The thrashing back and forth, the bitterly divided electorate - I'm to the point where I'd prefer we had a government with relatively consistent policies, even if I don't like them. As long as there is solid consensus, things will be relatively copasetic.

It's not a different take, you RINO. Fiscal and Constitutional conservatism is what made this country great to start with. And it wasn't until you RINO's invaded the GOP did most of these deficit/debt and debt ceiling problems come about. Along with the over inflating the USD value.
FFS, Reagan increased the debt ceiling 17 times. Trump completed suspended it for 2 full years.

This ain't cutting edge. It's not radical. It's what made America the manufacturing giant of the world. Now we're fighting to get jobs back. But because of you RINO's and democrats, manufacturing can't come back unless they're heavily subsidized by the government. Otherwise they can't compete on the global markets. And they can't stay in business for very long by selling only to American consumers.

Trumps spending reduce the value of the USD by 16%. Biden reduced it by 15%. So Trump not only outspent Biden. But he destroyed the USD value even more.
And to top it off, they come right out of the chute bragging about all the money they're spending.

Though I do understand that the collective historically does associate them with that language. But I think that this, too, is programmed into those who choose to receive that programming.

Mainstream cable news entertainment is what made the term ''moderate'' popular in recent years.

And there was intent in doing so.

Similar to the ''fad'' concept which was referenced earlier in the thread.

It kind of establishes acceptance of the illusion of justification for not being responsible and fundamental in one's thinking.

Particularly in an era where so many are merely content to just be led. Rhody has demonstrated hmself to be one of those particular types in this thread for instance.

I tend to associate them with just not possessing any firm fundamental principles and therefore they tend to just blend in like they're on a bus or something.

And I could go on and on and on about why I believe that.
