This may be problematic for Kash Patel

Durbin Implores Senate GOP To ā€˜Pauseā€™ On Patel Amid Claims He Covertly Managed FBI Purge

Senate Judiciary Committee ranking member Dick Durbin (D-IL) doubled down on his claim that Kash Patel personally orchestrated a ā€œpurgeā€ of senior law enforcement officials within the bureau and implored his colleagues to ā€œpauseā€ consideration of Patelā€™s nomination during a speech on the Senate floor Tuesday.

ā€œMultiple whistleblowers have disclosed to my staff highly credible information indicating that Mr. Kash Patel has been personally directing the ongoing purge of senior law enforcement officials at the FBI,ā€ Durbin said Tuesday.

Durbinā€™s Senate floor speech came less than an hour after the New York Times reported that Durbin had sent a letter to DOJ Inspector General Michael Horowitz Tuesday, outlining ā€œhighly credible information from multiple sourcesā€ that suggested Patel had improperly directed a recent string of career official firings at the bureau as a nominee. Durbin also wrote in the letter to Horowitz that Patel may have perjured himself during his Senate Judiciary Committee hearing, if the allegations from his sources were true.

This is only one of dozens of reasons not to confirm Kash.

Dear Inspector General Horowitz:

February 11, 2025

I have received highly credible information from multiple sources that Kash Patel has been personally directing the ongoing purge of career civil servants at the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) . Although Mr. Patel is President Trump's nominee to be FBI Director, he is still a private citizen with no role in government. I understand that Mr. Patel's directives are being carried out through the concerted efforts of White House Deputy Chief of Staff to the President Stephen Miller, Acting Deputy Attorney General Emil Bove, and several members of a newly-established FBI Director's Advisory Team (DAT).Ā¹

This alleged misconduct is beyond the pale and must be investigated immediately. On January 29, 2025, Acting FBI Director Brian Driscoll and Acting FBI Deputy Director Robert Kissane scheduled a meeting where it was relayed that a group of Executive Assistant Directors (EAD) and other supervisors must resign or be fired. The DAT was in possession of a written list that identified certain officials and was seen by multiple FBI leaders. Their understanding of the list was that ā€œa lot of names were people in the crosshairs. "This meeting had been prompted by a meeting earlier that day between Department of Justice (DOJ)and FBI leadership. Contemporaneous notes from that morning meeting read: ā€œKP wants movement at FBI, reciprocal actions for DOJ.ā€ Acting Deputy Attorney General Bove told meeting attendees that he received multiple calls from Stephen Miller the night before. Mr. Miller was pressuring him because Mr. Patel wanted the FBI to remove targeted employees faster, as DOJ had already done with prosecutors.

Prosecutors focus on Trump declassification claims in Kash Patel testimony: report

Federal prosecutors questioned former Trump aide Kash Patel on Thursday about his previous claims that former President Trump had declassified documents recovered from Mar-a-Lago, The Washington Post reported.

Patel appeared for the second time in a month before a federal grand jury investigating Trumpā€™s handling of classified documents after the Department of Justice agreed on Wednesday to grant him immunity for any information he provided.

The former Trump aide was also asked about how and why the former president took classified records with him to Mar-a-Lago, according to the Post.

Patel previously said in media interviews that he had witnessed Trump issue declassification orders near the end of his presidency, particularly on the FBIā€™s investigation into possible collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia.

Patelā€™s grand jury appearance was his second in less than a month. At his first appearance in October, he asserted his Fifth Amendment right against self-incrimination, according to people familiar with the matter who spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss the situation. Prosecutors argued he was not in legal jeopardy and therefore could not take the Fifth, but a federal judge disagreed with the government.
Prosecutors ultimately decided to grant Patel limited-use immunity, the people familiar with the matter said, meaning he could not be charged for a crime based on what he said in the grand jury, as long as he didnā€™t lie.

The problem for Kash (beyond his taking the 5th to protect himself from self incrimination, not a good look for the head of the FBI) is Jack Smith's indictment of Dotard and his co-defendants state trump in fact did not declassify the docs he stole.

Paradoxically, if Kash was telling the truth..........which he isn't.........it would mean trump declassified highly sensitive docs so he could........what........show them off to guests at MAL? Nah, he'd never do that.

Trump Retribution Loyalist Kash Patel Confirmed As FBI Director Amid Questions About Perjury

The Republican-controlled Senate confirmed Kash Patel as FBI Director in a 51-49 vote Thursday, despite his obvious loyalty to President Donald Trumpā€™s retribution agenda and amid lingering questions about whether he perjured himself during his confirmation hearing.

Sens. Susan Collins (R-ME) and Lisa Murkowski (R-AK) were the only Republican senators to oppose Patelā€™s confirmation. In a statement ahead of the final vote, Collins said ā€œthere is a compelling need for an FBI Director who is decidedly apolitical.ā€

Now that he is confirmed, Patel is expected to take on the task of carrying out Trumpā€™s own personal retribution agenda.

The takeover of the government by hacks and unqualified loyalists is nearly complete.

Retribution for what, exactly.
Hmmmmm, Stalinberg?

The left claims the only people qualified to be part of the Trump administration are people who hate Trump.

Ask any of them for an alternative to any of these confirmationsā€¦they will not answer.

ORANGE MAN BAD is the answer.

Got any sources? according to people familiar with the matter who spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss the situation and the people familiar with the matter said don't get it. Why didn't you just quote "your neighbor who has a friend that knows somebody that read an article told you." LMAO, try again.

It's bergy.

Dismissing the use of anonymous sources is just another way trumples try to deal with information making them uncomfortable. It's become habitual through a variety of means, and memes, since the reporting on trump is so consistently damning.
Also made up.

In the unlikely event the "anonymous sources" are real people, why would I want to hear what they have to say, if they hide to say it?
