Guess the Hammer Heads didnt eat them. When I was there and temp stayed on Ford Island we would see Hammerhead Sharks there all the time.
 
  • Breeding Ground: The shallow waters of Kaneohe Bay, which is near Ford Island, are crucial breeding areas for Scalloped hammerhead sharks (known as mano kihikihi in Hawaiian).
  • Seasonal Activity: Adult sharks visit these shallow waters to give birth, with high activity recorded in May and June.
  • Presence Near Ford Island: There have been reports and sightings of large hammerhead sharks (12–15 feet) in the waters around Ford Island, specifically near the docks.
  • Threat Level: While baby hammerheads are common in the bay, their presence sometimes attracts larger, predatory sharks, prompting caution in the area.
