Zone1 This is why they're leaving the Churches in droves

What quicker way to pervert the church than within.
A church, not THE church.
The people in that congregation should have smelled the sin/rebellion, but they didn't. They were already morally "liberal" meaning spiritually bankrupt.

This is God weeding out the weeds

Any religion is oppressive and backward.

You just bend the knee.
Then atheists should be the happiest and most successful of all people. So why is it the opposite? Why do they commit suicide more often than believers?

Yes, thank you.

And what about suicide are you lying about.

Between 2019 and late 2023, 7,651 churches disaffiliated themselves from the United Methodist Church (UMC), representing about 25% of its U.S. congregations. The primary reason for such a large-scale departure was the result of disagreements over issues like sexuality, and has led to the creation of new denominations, such as the Global Methodist Church.

Pastor announces gender transition during service with congregation: 'Giving up pretending to be a man'

"A Methodist pastor in New York revealed last week plans to transition into a woman and said the 51-year-old now identifies as asexual.

Rev. Phillip Phaneuf, of North Chili United Methodist Church in Rochester, made the announcement during a Nov. 23 Sunday service. The personal update was delivered from the pulpit while wearing a rainbow stole.

"So I get to announce with joy that I’m transitioning," Phaneuf said. "I’m affirming to all of you that I am transgender. The best way to put this is that I’m not becoming a woman, I’m giving up pretending to be a man. This is a process, and it may be shocking for some as to what this all means."

Phaneuf added that the pastor’s sexuality is now asexual, an orientation in which a person experiences little or no sexual attraction to others.

"I’m in the category of what they call asexual," Phaneuf said. "I’ve been that way since we’ve all been together, in that I am not living my life in a way that involves looking for romance."

Phaneuf said the name will be changed to Phillippa, and the preferred pronouns are she/her. Hormone replacement therapy has been underway for the past three months, Phaneuf confirmed, and changes to appearance, voice and hair are expected.

Phaneuf told Fox News Digital Tuesday that the details of the transition process are accurate and that the community has been extremely welcoming.

"Since coming out to my congregation, they have been overwhelmingly affirming!" Phaneuf said.

The pastor said the bishop, church and theology support the transition, noting that the bishop was consulted before the announcement and that any pastoral duties at the church will not be affected. "What will stay the same is my deepening love for all of you," Phaneuf said.

The 51-year-old’s parents, however, do not support the decision. "They asked me to tell you all that they do not support me," Phaneuf announced during the sermon. "They asked me to tell you this."

Last year, the United Methodist Church reversed rules that condemned LGBTQ+ identities in the community, according to its official website. The UMC now affirms human sexuality "as a sacred gift" and says this "applies to all persons, regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity," according to its official website.

"The United Methodist Church commits to befriending and caring for all persons, including LGBTQ persons in our churches and communities," it said.

I had to double check what forum this was because I thought that this was satire at first.

I only eat at black church benefits......You know, where they actually season their food.

Do they actually serve fried chicken and watermelon? Sorry but I had to ask.

So they endured the child molesters, but left because of the trannies.

Hmm. I'm not so sure that's a great comment on their morality.

In my opinion there is no easy way for Christian churches to deal with what modern near death experiencers are being shown on this topic and on many others.

I am a Christian and I plead guilty to seeing my people digging trenches and hiding when information comes out that isn't worded in exactly the way the topic was taught to them at the Theological Seminary that they went to?

[Near death experiencer Christian Andreason] :

12. What about sexually diverse people?

If this world was to ever find out just a small amount of what sexually diverse (gay) people are here to do on this planet, there would never be one single wisecrack or hurtful remark made ever again. Instead there would be great respect! People who speak disrespectful things about people of this orientation … enact judgment, and do so from a place of unenlightenment, insecurity, ego and socially induced prejudice. Some may use mistranslated scriptures taught to them, not by the Holy Spirit … but by fear-filled human beings. Many will choose to sustain a divinely unsupported satanic hate-based rage against these children of God, rather than using love to bring understanding and healing between both peoples. Christ said, THE GREATEST COMMANDMENT IS THAT WE ARE TO LOVE ONE ANOTHER! When people sling condemnation, judgment and bitterness at others, they are not practicing the great commandment. They are allowing their souls to fall into darkness.

15th post
is the picture the pastor?
.

Looks like it, all for looking very slutty.

Ask me again why I'm so happy being a Catholic in a parish that looks a little more gloriously orthodox every day.

And in my tiny Parish, we have just gained two new member families, one with six and one with seven children.

Zebra, you remember me telling you about recently seeing a young one serving his first Mass as Altar Server? He's from the family with six children. We recently had our Bishop celebrate a Mass in our church, and we were kind of wondering if he might have been thinking about whether it was worth it to keep our church open, and when asked, his eyes got merry and his smile glowed with pride at how packed our church is, and especially with so many children!

We are at no risk of losing our beautiful parish!
