This is why the Department of Education needs to go.

Also, root out the failed Common Corp,

Along with the federal funding came the failed Common Corp.

How is Micromanaging Teachers by the DOE improving education?

They force CORE Curruculim and Teachers to teach a Core Test.
Misconceptions of Common Core.webp

The better question is, how will eliminating a Dept of Education that has such a pitiful track record going to make anything worse? It is not the federal government's authority to hire and retain teachers. But maybe by leaving more billions with the states/local communities, the local communities will have more resources to attract and retain good teachers.

Hopefully the worm is turning and the schools will start hiring more actual teachers in useful subjects rather than professional indoctrination specialists.

Eliminating the Dept. of Education means that the government won't need roughly $2 billion on average per U.S. state to fund it.
Billions used to pay REAL TEACHERS and hire more.

WTF?

The education those kids received was provided by local government and states.
The Dept of Education is not responsible for hiring teachers or curriculum.

Looks like we need more Federal Education not less
What can the Fed do better than the states? It has existed a long time. This is what it produced so far.

That is close to 50 years
How much did we pay on defense in that time?
We spent $2trillion occupying Afghanistan
Because we dont fight to Win and profiteers make Billions off of it who own politicians

Maybe the money can be used to hire and retain more teachers. The classroom is where learning happens.
These people are not in high school, they go to college.

So when Jimmy Carter established the Dept of Education in 1979, the USA was No. 1 in the world in public education.

The USA is now #31. Even Russia ranks higher.

Now tell me again how the Dept. of Education has improved education in the USA and/or is essential to it? It obviously doesn't educate kids and doesn't seem to be effective in anything else either. So why not close it down? The few useful functions it has can easily be transferred to another government group to administer.

It appears to be the Department of disinformation.

Five Micromanagement Practices in Education That Need to Stop

It is the micromanagement–all the additional requirements that actually get in the way of real teaching. After all, most of us got into the profession because we love working with kids and sharing our favorite subject (or subjects) with them. Unfortunately, too often we have to dedicate a significant amount of our time to relatively meaningless tasks that take time away from the most important thing–preparing and teaching great lessons. This needs to stop.

Biggest complaint my sisters had.

These video "gotchas" are silly.

But you think they are effective in proving some point you have.

Have you ever attended a HS Hi-Q event? Robert W

Here's one in Alabama.

Federal money is already going to the states to fund low income communities and special needs programs
What is Federal Money?

Lets correct this NONSENSE MINDSET.

It is tax payer money stolen to hire micromsnaging bureaucrats.

Sure, to a man who hates two parties they are.

But they are honest filming of actual events.
She alleges she does not edit any of her videos.
She is also a college graduate who loves the constitution.

Federal money is tender printed at the Government mints. And also coined at some of them. In fact it states it is tender on the currency.

So. Tell me when states have the power to coin their own currency.

Taxpayers from States pay for the jobs at the DOE.

It's an indictment of students as well as the system. The kids can't see anything past the sex, drugs, and rock 'n roll. It's all they really need.
