This is what government run health care will look like if democrats are ever able to completly take if over.

OP, your concern is valid—political bias in disaster relief would be serious if systemic. But evidence shows this was a rogue FEMA employee, not agency leadership. FEMA’s own investigation cleared the institution of wrongdoing, though the supervisor was fired and faces potential Hatch Act penalties. On the IRS angle, the controversy came under prior administrations, and the Trump DOJ settled with conservative groups for past scrutiny—but that doesn’t mean the current IRS is weaponizing power. Thanks for bringing these issues up—they underscore precisely why transparency matters.
I always see these new names or names quiet show up on sensitive issues.

oh horseshit.

It made me super flushed, hot and my nose would itch.
I don't remember what illness I had, but the codeine didn't do anything for it. I did experience an uncomfortable buzz from it though.

Fair point—expecting whistleblowers to carry the whole weight is a lousy plan. But their courage is proof the system isn’t entirely rigged. It’s ugly, slow, and painful, but sometimes that’s what accountability looks like.
I'm guessing that the vast majority of such cases go unreported.

The abortion doctor Kermit Gosnell is a perfect example of this. When Roe became law, he went into practice, and as health officials came round to inspect his place, as they do all medical establishments, they found a wide variety of health problems. But when they asked him to fix them, he continued the status quo, so instead of fining him or closing him down, they just stopped coming round because abortion is such a hot topic political issue. In the mind of the Progressive, unsafe abortions are better than abortions being denied.

Turn the clock forward some 30 years, and Kermit was being investigated by the FBI regarding abuses with narcotics. However, they could not prove he mishandled the said narcotics, but local law enforcement was there with the FBI and was appalled at the dirty foul conditions in the clinic and wanted to investigate, but the FBI had no interest. That left local law enforcement to investigate the clinic on their own, and what they found was even more appalling. He was doing abortions on term infants, and he gave subpar care to minority women because he knew they did not have the social backing or education to ever sue him for malpractice. In fact, a few women even died in his care. But the lead investigator paid a high price as they were warned about the political implications for going after an abortion doctor, really any abortion doctor because abortion was such a political football. They threatened his career if he proceeded, but even though he was for pro-choice, he could not go to sleep at night with the pictures of that filthy clinic in his head, so he continued his fight.

Finally, it went to court as it was found that he had killed so many to term babies and women, he because American's number 1 mass murderer and expected a media frenzy to cover it. However, not one person showed up the cover the story because once again abortion is such a political football. In fact, I bet you never have even heard of Kermit Gosnell, have you? They tried to make a movie about it to make the world aware of the abuses that went on and how minorities were targeted by the doctor, but Hollywood refused to make the movie. Then when they found other acters outside of Hollywood to make the movie, the moive theatres did not want to show it or advertise it. It ended up in a few movie theatres for a limited time, but was largely ignored by the entire world.

I can only imagine how many similar abortion clinics there are like this out there.

Universal health care will end up having 24/7 euthanasia centers.

The only drug I think I could become seriously addicted to. I love me some codeine.

There were guys in my outfit that went back to the infirmary for seconds but were denied. The army knew how addictive the stuff was.

The Gosnell case doesn’t show a broken system—it shows a neglected one that eventually caught up. The horror there festered because regulators looked away, not because they were powerless. When local law enforcement finally pushed through the politics, Gosnell was prosecuted, convicted, and sentenced to life without parole. It’s a grim example, but it proves that when accountability is forced, even monsters fall.

This man should be fired. You know who else should be fired? Trump. He wants to cut Fema altogether.

Dems want to put him charge of our health care. Then he can cut that as the mood hits him.

The Left weaponized the IRS to also come after conservatives, as conservatives later sued the Federal government for targeting them and won.

Of course, nothing was done to the IRS as the IRS simply used taxpayer money to pay them off, so what do they care? They still continue as they were.

And what of FEMA telling their workers not to help people with Trump signs in their yard after the devastating flooding.

At least the person responsible was fired for it, but only because it became public.

And the ultimate goal of government run health care, a government that cuts costs at all costs

This was their vision of health care before they passed Obamacare as the nation is well on its way.

It's funny how the government seemingly has no care about government spending EXCEPT when it comes to YOUR health care.

Yep, the government will pay less as you pay more for health care that never improves. That is the DNC vision of YOUR health care.

Enjoy.

Single Payer is RATIONED Health Care

Favouring private or state healthcare depends on individual needs and priorities.

A wonderful Ocare accomplishment pushing health costs ever upward.....

It increases the cost and lowers the quality of care

Only if you put your personal wealth over the health care needs of the people.

Fill those campaign coffers even if it means people die.

Back in the 60's while in the military when we ran short on money to buy alcohol we bought the codeine cough syrup at BX to get a buzz.

My brother used to have a prescription for a codeine to help control his asthma. Came in little one shot bottles of green syrup. He didn't like them because they made him drowsy. I loved them because they made me oh so happy and content. I've had other encounters with it since I have been an adult and for me, at least, it has never failed to deliver. Some drugs don't do crap for me---percocet and darvocet are ones that come to mind. I think they took darvocet off the market though.

The cough syrup was sort of cherry flavored. It was pretty good.
