Are they not getting paid? I call BS. Slavery has been illegal in the US for over 150 years. Sounds like you are advocating for unskilled people begging for wages that they are unqualified to demand--IOW begging instead of improving their skills and getting paid what they earn.

Im advocating if the shutdown drags on and on, then they need to find other means of getting paid. This has nothing to do with unqualified mumbo jumbo. Are you saying air traffic controllers arent qualified to be air traffic controllers? Why would you care if they quit?

You apparently don't understand the meaning of 'deferred' They are losing nothing. BTW, maybe you should contact your senators and tell them to pass the CR. They are the one's who own it.

If the affordable care act is affordable, why does it need to be subsidized?

My story fwiw: When I retired at age 62 my bidness HC stopped. I bought an affordable bronze HC plan. This was in '17 and it was $854/mo. Since I was on SS only, I filed for the subsidy. I was approved and it cost me $43 dollars a month. I paid it for 3 years, but never used it. I'm glad that I never had to.
