Matt Gaetz may be guilty of every single thing they accuse him and worse. And he also may be under malicious political attack and there is no truth to any of it and he is completely innocent.

Not a single person on this message board knows which is the truth. And there is a time honored principle in this country that a person is allowed to be innocent until convicted in a honest court of law based on evidence, not gossip, rumor, innuendo or planted evidenced.

There was far more reason to suspect Barney Frank when his partner was running a brothel in their mutually shared apartment. But because there was no evidence tying him to that, both Democrats and Republicans gave him benefit of the doubt. Innocent until proven guilty. That's the way it is supposed to be, even for repubs. And you're not supposed to charge and arrest somebody for a crime without sufficient evidence to present in court.
