This Is Not Supposed to be happening in 2021 according to the Far Right.

Those are individuals. There are laws against the shit if people get caught renting based on race they get their asses handed to them by the courts. No one who bitches about systemic racism can point out a law or policy that proves it.
Yeah, dope. Many individuals across the country in the 50 markets studied. So many that the discrimination is clear and obvious. “Systemic” doesn’t mean everyone, dope. It simply means across a system or industry through practices and not law.

you don't even know what the word systemic means. too funny

There really is only one way to absolutely ensure that racism never actually diminishes. Focus on race all the time and consistently crow about it.

IM2 NEEDS racism. The entire left relies on the division it brings.
BECAUSE
Ignoring it and its impacts will make everything better.

Isn't there a lawn down the street in need of your attention?

Bullshit there are laws against that type of discrimination so it is not systemic. It's individual people making the decision to not rent to people based on race.

Neither of you read the report.

None of the applicants were real. The whole thing was a simulation, to prove a hypothesis that the researchers had already assumed.

It was all simulated based off sounds of names. The researchers just made the assumption that property owners and rental managers would make assumptions about the race of prospects based on the names of "hypothetical," rental prospects.

Umm… that’s my point. Hence my question as to what in the study led them to believe those denied were not financially qualified.

he thinks they all belong to the same email blog. The amount of stupid that invades their headspace is enormus.

Even within the white community, or the black community, or the Hispanic community, what you name your kid, will determine their future. This is known by the experts.
You don't need some computer program run by bots to figure this out. :71:

Folks just react to a name, it is more than racial. Beyond that? Yeah, folks have a natural tendency, to group toward their own, and whites are NOT the only folks that are guilty of this. So? Stop with the hate already.

You aren't ever going to change something that is biologically programed. This exists in all animals. It has been observed in reptiles, birds and other mammals.

You are like Sisyphus. Seriously man.

Want to Raise Successful Kids? Science Says Give Them These Kinds of First Names

What's in a name? Far more than you might have imagined, according to this research.

So you're saying that a name creates an image in your mind and you react to the image?
A little dragging here, a little lynching there...

There is a tendency for ethic groups to gather together. For security, comfort, a friendly face. It's called "ghettoization." Nothing wrong with it UNTIL...

You refuse to let them out of the ghetto via law or community action.

Which is what the article and study demonstrate.

do you believe a sixteen year old has the same experience as a twenty something or thirty something or forty somethings, etc.....?

So then the assumption that minorities couldn’t qualify was unjustified given that they never made it past the names.

The reactions of posters here highlight the same biased assumptions that were no doubt employed when denying the applicants. Interesting.
