This is absolutely pathetic

An American woman in Malta is set to be air-lifted out of the country on Thursday, after seeking an abortion amid emergency, life-threatening pregnancy complications, and being denied care due to the country’s stringent abortion ban. Malta’s laws offer no exceptions to this ban for any reason, rendering it the strictest in the European Union.

The American woman, Andrea Prudente, was on vacation with her partner in the country, and was 16 weeks pregnant when she started bleeding heavily and learned her fetus would not survive. Still, a hospital in Valletta, Malta, insisted that it would not provide her with an abortion or even discuss the procedure with her until she was imminently dying. Of course, medical experts have long argued that waiting until the pregnant person’s life is at stake to provide abortion care is extremely medically risky—if the government were actually concerned with pregnant people’s safety, abortion wouldn’t be banned at all.

Will soon be happening here, most likely.
Hope she doesnt fucking die over this stupid shit.

Mexico is gearing up for it. Doesn't do anything for Malta.

Sad situation. Knowing the baby is dying and won't survive, then add in that the mother's life is in danger .... They had the chance to save one of them and refused. I just don't get it.

So you are against the TX law that will force rape victims to go through gestation?
Do you really believe that if any woman gets pregnant in Texas, regardless of circumstances, they're going to imprison her until the child is born?

Really?

I thought you were a bit brighter than that.

:dunno:

Good old Mexico.

Need some whores? Sure thing!

Need some drugs? No problem!

Want to murder an unborn child? We'll hook ya right up!

Women have been going to the border for a long time now for flea market abortions. You had to know that all this was going to be circumvented. These are back from 2013:

Nope. No abortions except in cases of rape, incest, or life-threatening circumstances.
American's wanting to end abortion say it is because it is murder. Do they believe that the child of rape and incest should be murdered. The argument seems disingenuous/

No, because they think that child has a soul.

Simple as that.

A unique soul that was waiting for its vessel and that has a chance at existing forever.

So why do they believe it is ok to stop the life of a soul because the mother was raped or suffered incest.

Read the link in the OP more thoroughly. It says that Malta allows abortion in life-threatening cases. But the medics there decided the conditions weren't 'enough'.

Is there anything humans can do that is easier than preventing an unwanted pregnancy? I think not. There are many simple methods for preventing pregnancy. Maybe we need a concerted effort to educate people on how to.

Yeah, but doesn't it say in the Constitution somewhere that people have the right to copulate without hindrance any time and any place they want to? Wouldn't it be unconstitutional to demand that they wait until they are protected from creating an unwanted pregnancy?

It is very hard to get to the truth of the situation in this article since it's msn and their panting over Roe. Obviously, the places where women were made to carry dead babies--that's not good. But it seems in this woman's case, she has stabilized and the baby is alive.

"The life of the mother" is very, very rare. Ectopic pregnancy is one such case, but that happens early in pregnancy and usually there's no viable baby to begin with. In almost all other cases, you really do not need to kill your own baby to save your own life.
