This came back to bite me

The issue stems from the fact that they are willing to go to the mattresses and the GOP is not, and that is a real and distinct disadvantage.

I'm not concerned so much about the hardcore left. They're worse than Mao and Lenin when it comes to brains. However, those undecided, seeing that the GOP lacks the nads to fight back, will vote Democrat because Americans love winners, and are unforgiving of excuses.

They also need to start fighting back to win these midterms. The Media is doing its usual thorough job in building lies about how the Dems are going to win.

Americans want to see these people held to account, and if the GOP won't, then they'll go elsewhere.

We also have the '28 elections that have to be won if we want to stop America from becoming completely Communist China.
The problem is ALL politicians, left and right are dirty and every politician knows the secrets of the others. Attack one and the whole corrupt system could fail when they start talking. There is a reason Trump's own staff told him to NOT go after Hillary Clinton. At the moment we need Trump and the GOP to push the dumocraps out of congress, then maybe we can clean up DC with the arrival of a new party to replace the dumocraps. Note that there's 250 years corruption and filth that has accumulated and it will be a monumental task.

In order to do that, the GOP will need to win the midterms, about 5 morre state legislatures, and 5 governor seats.

Pissing off the entire world isn't a good plan if "national security" is the end goal.
Not pissing off the entire world, just the criminals.
Biden's open borders was the biggest National Security disaster in history. He let in 166,000 Chinese, 125,000 Russians, let 400,000 convicted criminals roam free, let in hundreds of terrorists including ISIS, and "lost" 320,000 kids to sex traffickers.
We can likely expect more terrorist actions taken on America soil in the coming months or years.
True, thanks to Biden's open borders.
Spending 9 years in Iraq didn't amount to squat for our "national security."
I disagree. Saddam and his terrorist larvae would have caused security problems we don't have now.

There is NO reason Biden could not have released the files.

Still trying to figure out what OP could have done differently to not get bitten in the ass.

Yes agreed!

But the gas and oil fields have to stop burning

You're falling for drama fueled propaganda tactics that are designed to appeal to your emotions and not your brain.

The Deepwater Horizon (2010) is often cited for the longest-lasting, largest accidental marine oil spill, with oil flowing for 87 days after a 36-hour fire, but the Baghjan oil well fire in Assam, India (2020) burned for approximately 150 days, making it one of the longest-burning oil/gas disasters.

  • Deepwater Horizon (2010): Burned for roughly 36 hours before sinking; however, the Macondo well leaked into the Gulf of Mexico for 87 days.
  • Baghjan Fire (2020): A gas blowout in India that caused a fire which lasted for around 150 days (June to November 2020).
  • Piper Alpha (1988): While not the longest, it is regarded as the deadliest, with intense, short-term explosions and fires lasting into the following day.
  • The 2020 Assam fire is significantly longer in terms of sustained, continuous burning at the wellhead.

Offshore oil rigs experience fires and explosions annually, with recent data showing 149 fires in 2023. While major, headline-grabbing disasters are rare, small-to-moderate fires and gas releases are relatively frequent occurrences on oil platforms.

Offshore Incident Statistics (U.S. Bureau of Safety and Environmental Enforcement - BSEE):
  • 2023: 149 Fires, 0 Explosions (resulting in 203 injuries)
  • 2022: 126 Fires, 1 Explosion
  • 2021: 117 Fires, 4 Explosions
  • 2020: 87 Fires, 1 Explosion
  • 2019: 84 Fires, 4 Explosions

Yeah biggest active fields on the planet are now a war zone

No biggie

Yeah biggest active fields on the planet are now a war zone

No biggie

You weren't talking about them being a war zone, you were concerned about the fires, so now you change to a new topic. But what you're saying about this is wrong as well.

The United States is the world's top oil-producing nation, boasting the highest number of active oil extraction projects, primarily driven by its shale industry. While Venezuela holds the largest total proven oil reserves, the U.S. currently leads in active, daily production, producing over 13 million barrels per day.

Key insights on active oil fields and production:
  • Top Producers (Active): As of 2025/2026, the leading producers are the United States, Russia, and Saudi Arabia.
  • Largest Individual Active Field: The Ghawar Field in Saudi Arabia is the world's largest active conventional oil field.
  • Active Field Locations: Major, high-output active fields are concentrated in the Middle East (Ghawar), Russia (Western Siberia), and the United States (Permian Basin).

While Venezuela, Saudi Arabia, and Canada lead in proven reserves (the amount of oil that exists underground), the U.S. leads in active, producing fields due to technological advancements.

And....

As of early 2026, Iran produces approximately 3.3 to 4 million barrels of oil per day, accounting for roughly 3% to 4.5% of total global oil production. Despite operating under international sanctions, Iran remains a top 10 global oil producer and the third or fourth largest within OPEC.

I can’t tell if you’re trying to gaslight me

Are you saying that having the top gas producers offline is no big deal because the USA has gas?

Your words, which were not true. You're dramatizing again for maximum effect of appeal to emotion.
