The past is prelude- and China had nothing to do with Rome- I don't disagree with your politician assessment, but, China, since they aren't here, is the least of our worries. Our biggest problems are in our back yard and all we need do to recognize who's at fault is look in the mirror- greed is what drives the world, BTW. It is what it is and can be dealt with in free enterprise by unseen forces in consumerism- there is nothing we can't deal with except death.
China is in the pocket of Globalist........so they are a concern......along with a military that has stolen it's tech and is advancing readily.
Of course our politicians are the problem.........they are controlled by lobbyist.......and do their bidding.......they control the media.......and the Narrative to the people.......
Our pal, Gidget, seems not to know that Democrat Clinton sold our missile technology to Red China,
"Flashback: Bill Clinton gave China missile technology
...Clinton administration to overrule national security officials in order win approval for a Loral deal that gave Red China critical missile technology. Loral’s chief executive officer became the Democratic National Committee’s largest donor ...."
With all this talk of Russians allegedly interfering in U.S. elections, it is worth recalling that it wasn’t too long ago that the previous Democrat in the White House betrayed America by working hand in hand with our Communist enemies…

“The vice president is negotiating a bunch of very sensitive issues with the Chinese, including the South China Sea, trade, tech transfer, etc. Shortly after they return to the US, Hunter Biden’s firm receives a $1 billion private equity deal from the Chinese government We have no way of knowing how much Rosemont made on the deal because there are no disclosure requirements,” he said."

"The troubling reason why Biden is so soft on China
In 2013, then-Vice President Joe Biden and his son Hunter Biden flew aboard Air Force Two to China. Less than two weeks later, Hunter Biden’s firm inked a $1 billion private equity deal with a subsidiary of the Chinese government’s Bank of China. The deal was later expanded to $1.5 billion. In short, the Chinese government funded a business that it co-owned along with the son of a sitting vice president."
