The group of billionaires who spent millions in campaign funding to get trump elected in 2016 and spent millions-of-dollars more on trump’s failed attempt at reelection in 2020 have also handed conservative federal judges AND justices on the USSC additional millions to further the fascist agenda. So far, those millions-of-dollars in cash and other financial considerations haven’t paid any noticeable dividends.
For the most part, these well-paid federal judges and justices have failed to deliver much at all in favorable rulings for the right-wing-billionaire-favorite trump (trump appointees have been especially disappointing). There has been nothing favorable for any of the many trump’s lawsuits to overturn the 2020 election, nothing to get federal prosecutors off his back, and nothing to provide presidential immunity for 2024 presidential candidate trump.
But Thursday’s suit brought by trump’s lawyers may change all this. “On Thursday, his lawyers asked a judge to dismiss the Washington election subversion case, in which Trump is accused of encouraging his supporters' January 6, 2021, riot at the U.S. Capitol. They argued that Trump has presidential immunity from prosecution.”
“Legal analyst and former federal prosecutor Joyce Vance believes that Trump took Thursday's case to line up a Supreme Court challenge using the landmark 1982 Supreme Court case of Nixon v. Fitzgerald, in which the court ruled that the president is entitled to absolute immunity from civil lawsuits based on his official acts.”
With this news, conservative billionaires will be lighting up the home and cell phones of the six USSC right-wing beneficiaries of the billionaires’ generosity. The billionaires will remind them of the tremendous cash outlay in recent years and months and demand positive results for trump in all coming rulings, up to, and following November 5, 2024.
