Lying is a harsh word, I'd prefer to think they were blinded by their faith. Many are to this day. This is the crux of the matter isn't it? Not only suspecting people of lying, but being certain in your own mind that they are lying.
Another example of your strong faith. You can't even imagine dishonesty. My dad would not lie to me. Why would you even think such a thing...unless your own dad lied to you, therefore, my dad would lie to me?
The birth narratives are just one example.Think back to when you heard or read something from the Bible where you were certain the Bible was lying to you. What was that verse or in that account?
Another example of your strong faith. You can't even imagine dishonesty so even when you see it with your own eyes you don't see it.For those following Jesus' teachings, there is no need to lie. There was good news to share. They had a story to tell, one that connects back to Genesis.
While atheists are clear-sighted, not blind at all?Lying is a harsh word, I'd prefer to think they were blinded by their faith. Many are to this day.
That is not even any kind of example of "strong faith". The above is an example of poor judgment on your part. You haven't a clue as to the dishonesty I've faced in my own life. You have the better imagination--that imagining that I can't imagine dishonesty.Another example of your strong faith. You can't even imagine dishonesty.
I asked for the first instance where you determined the Bible was lying to you.The birth narratives are just one example.
Right now, I am imagining you are blind and that is why those jumps to very silly conclusions about me.Another example of your strong faith. You can't even imagine dishonesty so even when you see it with your own eyes you don't see it.

Blind maybe but not blinded by faith at least. Generally a more skeptical lot. While atheists are clear-sighted, not blind at all?
I asked a hypothetical question about your father, whom I know nothing about but you could not imagine he might lie to you. That is impressively strong faith in your father. That is not even any kind of example of "strong faith". The above is an example of poor judgment on your part. You haven't a clue as to the dishonesty I've faced in my own life. You have the better imagination--that imagining that I can't imagine dishonesty.
When I was 12 or 13, I began to think about God and the myriad religions that claim knowledge of Him. I decided that since they could not all be true it was most likely that none were true. I've since read and studied the Bible and religion and have never found a reason to change my mind.I asked for the first instance where you determined the Bible was lying to you.
Ironic that you think you know me so well but can be so wrong.Right now, I am imagining you are blind and that is why those jumps to very silly conclusions about me.
ETA: What are you? About age 19? I've seldom read such a naive post...like you've never had any life experience at all; that you have never done any research; that you have never been a witness to anything.
Right, you fear NOT getting your ticket to the forever fable.Yawn. True Christianity (and Judaism for that matters) is about God's Way of living this life. The afterlife is nothing to fear. It takes care of itself (even though it is not your festival).
If not for that magical extortion, nobody would ever have heard of Christianity.
I don't know you at all. I haven't described you--never have. I've described your conclusions about me. They are incredibly naive.Ironic that you think you know me so well but can be so wrong.
Breezie-----you need a new GIGdream come true ...
why is there timidity - when being stepped on how is it the religious are able to persecute the innocent as also being their secret for success - if not just their claim of a devil for them to have their way when they are the evil they warn about ...
what is communism - that is any different than the three desert religions.
It has nothing to do with imagination, but truth. My dad never lied to me. You never met him yet you could blithely make a claim as if you knew him. You had no problem looking down your nose at someone you know nothing about.I asked a hypothetical question about your father, whom I know nothing about but you could not imagine he might lie to you. That is impressively strong faith in your father.
How easily some can dispose of truth, then. All religions hold truth. Some just find it easier to dispose than to pursue. When I was 12 or 13, I began to think about God and the myriad religions that claim knowledge of Him. I decided that since they could not all be true it was most likely that none were true. I've since read and studied the Bible and religion and have never found a reason to change my mind.

What about all those sightings of Elvis? They couldn't all be wrong! There were no eyewitnesses to any resurrections. Not ever.
First, resurrection is not possible. Chemistry shows us this.
Second, clearly someone who claims otherwise is lying or mistaken.
I agree. But, putting aside what the delusional profess to believe, the subject of the resurrection was never about the resumption of a former existence, it has always been about the entry into a new existence. That being said countless people have risen. Many of the dearly departed (from reality), entombed by false religion, addled by bullshit, I have seen resurrected with my own eyes, crawl out of their graves, stand, and walk upright just like a Homo sapiens is supposed to walk. There were no eyewitnesses to any resurrections. Not ever.

The evidence says otherwise.I agree. It was miraculous! I shit you not. As miraculous as watching a lily white cur learn to play the piano.
The evidence says otherwise.
something like those MYTHS-----to wit, "when breezie took his first steps and said his first words and WAS SO CUTE....."true -
your side, the desert have none - not even a photo or film clip for any of it - and worse a single clay relief or etched stone made during the time for any of your phony claims - of christianity, the religion of servitude and denial ... no where found in the 1st century.
