Yet 80% of the gop is ok with that. The gop whiffed on Healthcare, but they whiffed on it back in 08 and 12 ... and really in 04 too. The ONLY way to effectuate a market based system, rather than getting an insurance policy no one really bargains for, is to just end all the tax expenditures ... and Medicaid for the poor ... and GIVE every healthy American an equal tax credit to go by HC like we buy everything else. But most of us don't want to give up our HC policies, and the 1% don't want to give up their employersponsored tax expenditure, and the pols catering to the poor don't want to give up Medicaid. The ONLY answer to containing prices is to pass a law setting a hard cap on how much gnp we will pay for HC and go single payer.

The people at that rally have no understanding, and don't want any understanding, that trying to get tax reform that would lower marginal rates means getting Lee and Cruz to agree with Collins on how much we spend and how much we tax.
