What do the Iranian people think about Donald Trump, now?

Trump urges Iranians to keep protesting, saying 'help is on its way' in January. The Iranians were in the streets for weeks. The ruthless Iranian regime killed tens of thousands of the protesters.

The Americans along with Isreal took out the evil Ayatollah. The Iranians were celebrating in the streets.
Then the bombing by the US and Isreal continued. Besides military installations being bombed, so were neighborhoods and infrastructure.

After weeks of bombing Iran Trump said today
'we're blowing up the whole country' if no Iran deal is reached in 48 hours"
.
I don't think that was the help the Iranian people were expecting after Trump's promise.

I doubt we'd get any truth out of Iran but would think U.S. attacks on their infrastructure would result in support of their regime much like George W Bush gained 90% approval ratings after 9/11.

Especially if the U.S. attacks their power plants which would cause civilians the most trouble.

The.blockade of the Strait is the better play. The problem with destroying the power, beside it being immoral, is that the Iranian government wll have endless backup power sources in all likelihood so only the poor citizens would pay the price. Some are saying this would be a war crime but I don't know international law. Something tells me this is Trump trying to get Europe and others to get involved and do their best to open the Strait. An escalation does not make sense in my opinion as the only real weapon Iran has at this juncture is that the Strait so they either open it or they don't. Post-attack on infrastructure ensures it is not open and citizens would turn on USA. Maintaining the support of their citizens is critical. The blockade is better both morally and strategically. Starving them of oil revenue and confiscating from some sources really puts Iran on the clock.

It's not difficult to imagine a conversation in the Iraq palace with Saddam:

"Uh, hey, Saddam. Bro. You do know that using those chemical weapons on those Kurdish people is a war crime, right?"

We all know what his response would be.

"No it isn't. Those people are threatening Iraq. It's not a war crime".

Because he says so.

We know the Hague is watching this carefully.

The Iranian people have to hope he's above war crimes.

I think he'll let Israel drop the nuke on em and let America take the hit for it.

They must really be holding something big over his head that he's afraid of. I'd love to know what it is.

He's also letting them kill all of the negotiators before they even have a chance to meet with US officials, as we saw again most recently when Israel killed the negotiator who was supposed to meet with JD Vance.

Trump's not calling the shots. No way. He is, in my own view, just the designated shine boy placating directives from Israeli assets rather than American intelligence assets in all of this. We saw this quite a bit when he initially elevated Israeli assets like Kushner et al above our American intelligence assets to get us into this quagmire in the first place.

As I said, I'd love to know what they have on him.

In the mean time, America is simultaneously being fiscally eviscerated.
