These fuel prices are ridiculous

Not all Biden's doing since Biden doesn't control the oil or gasoline industries..Mizzouri raised gasoline taxes also.

Actually commie xiden's regime in causing uncertainty in the oil and gas industry, they will sit on cash until the future is more clear. You'd think at todays prices new drilling rigs would be sprouting like weeds, but that's not happening. The enviroweenines will be the death of this country.

The problem is 34 million barrels will be traveling monthly on the open ocean which is now the only way to get to refineries. Evidently you don't remember Exxon Valdez - 1989!

News to me; are you claiming there are no pipelines running now, and that the Canadian sludge is somehow not being piped all the way to Port Arthur already? You do realize the XL is just a short extension, right? The stuff was flowing into Port Arthur and other refineries before there was ever even an XL proposal. And, it is a Canadian owned company, not a private oil company, and the only reason for the Keystone was Canada didn't want to run a pipeline across their own country and risk spills, even though their pipeline would only be some 700 miles long to tidewater. You like the idea of foreign countries using eminent domain to sieze Americans' private property, especially one whose current pipeline began springing leaks right after it was first built, and has been springing leaks ever since?

No the point of the pipeline was to bring oil to refineries. NOW because of dummies like you that don't seem to comprehend that 34 million barrels per month will be on the open ocean... versus 700 barrels traveling 1 mile on dry land! How totally environmentally ignorant! Are you telling me it is safer to ship on the open ocean in an area known during the dead of winter in an area known as "winter hurricanes" ?
Tankers currently represent about 2% of total ship traffic visiting the Port of Vancouver (out of 250 total vessels per month, about 5 are tankers). The Government of Canada’s recent approval of the Trans Mountain Expansion Project is expected to increase the number of tankers visiting the Port of Vancouver from around 5 to around 34 per month. In this scenario, tankers would represent about 14% of total ship traffic.
Evidently you NEVER heard of the Exxon Valdez which is still causing ocean damages after 32 years!

So you're worried about spills in Canada but it' okay to ruin American aquifers and have spills on American soil. lol okay, now we know.

And where are your facts????
Here are the spills you have exaggerated about!
So simple...USE the Internet!
Nearly 9 million gallons of crude oil have spilled from pipelines in the United States since 2010.
Now for dramatic sake they use gallons.
At 55 gallons per barrel that is an average of 27,000 barrels per year.
NOW Exxon Valdez oil spill occurred when an oil tanker crashed onto the shore of Prince William Sound in Alaska on March 24, 1989. It contaminated 1,300 miles of coastline with 250,000 barrels or 11 million gallons of oil.
More facts for you idiots again so easy to find!

Not when the feds are interfering, would you invest billions if the future of your industry was uncertain? What you commies don't seem to realize is 40% of current electricity production is dependent on natural gas. The majority of homes and businesses depend on natural gas for heat, heating water and cooking. The price of natural gas has doubled, that causes everything in the market place more expensive, what do you think that will do to the economy? What do you think it will do to the poor and elderly on fixed incomes?

Do some research, a lot of the Canadian oil is coming by rail. Warren Buffett is making billions on it. That's way more dangerous than a pipeline.

The Keystone has had several spills, and that is form aline that is practically brand new, not an old one, and the XL has had a spil already as well. You idiots are just blowing smoke with your whining. The fact is Canada wants to sell the crap, but doesn't want to risk spilling the crap all over its own lands; they just found some stupid Americans to sucker into taking the risks, is all. That sutff is n't like regular petroleum from wells, it has all kinds of toxic crap in it that makes a spill from it a lot nastier than just a crude oil spill, dumbass. It;s idiotic to run it over an aquifier just save a fraction of a penny per barrel to some Canadian government owned 'company'.

You do it. I already have. They can pipe the nasty stuff to their own ports and ship it from there, or refine it themselves and worry about where to dump thier own waste. We get very little benefit from it.

Overdrilling led to burning off so much natural gas it s criminal. IF that is supposed to be an example of 'free market economics' well that's why nobody falls for the old lines any more. They could supply seven cities with what was burned off, and they kept drilling and drilling more. It was pure mindless stupidity, and it will never be recovered.

Actually there's 42 gallons in a barrel of oil.

LMAO, your propaganda is really out of date. Rig counts are down all across the country. And folks in the NE would be paying a lot less if the commies hadn't stopped the pipelines out of PA. As it is they are competing on the Atlantic market against European countries.

lol rubbish. The vast majority of it is for export, not U.S. use, and most of the little refined in the U.S. isn't used for making gas and diesel; it does squat for reducing gas pump prices. The cost of refining the sludge is much higher than with crude. As for east coast refineries, not many of them can process the sludge anyway. Even refineries modified to process the sludge get a very low yield of gas and diesel from it.

The majority of the WCSB crudes that will be transported by the Project are
DilBits, the last bar in Figure 2. These DilBits are sometimes referred to as "dumbell" or
"barbell" crudes as the majority of the diluent is C5 to C12 and the majority of the
bitumen is C30+ boiling range material, with very little in between.10 This means these
crudes have a lot of material boiling at each end of the boiling point curve, but little in the
middle. Thus, they yield very little middle distillate fuels, such as diesel, heating oil,
kerosene, and jet fuel and more coke, than other heavy crudes. A typical DilBit, for
example, will have 15% to 20% by weight light material, basically the added diluent,
10% to 15% middle distillate, and the balance, >75% is heavy residual material (vacuum
gas oil and residue) exiting the distillation column.

page 12 of the pdf.

last data I can find is Texas Gulf Coast refiners, those already set up to process sour crude, use less than 5% of Canadian sludge for their heavy oil stocks. In other words, the crap contributes almost nothing to the higher prices here.

What the hell does heavy crude have to do with natural gas, or what I said about it?

3.19 here for regular yesterday. It hasn't been that high since THE LAST TIME A DEMOCRAT was in the WH.

odd how that happens. just a coincidence according to idiot leftists.
it's always when there is a demofk in the WH. They hate the middle class. If no one has noticed. They have offered absolutely no program designed to help the middle class.

The day pedo and the hoe got elected I predicted 4.00 a gallon in my area. We are well on our way.
