All energy sources require massive debt financing and materials to build and develop. Including windmills and solar panels.

I'm afraid that the idea of sustainable energy is just another tool used by the left wing to pronounce their so called superiority over everyone else, even as they jet and drive around, burning billions of tons of fossil fuels in the process.

No mention of the fact that the technology in the form of grid scale batteries is now cheap enough to make these sources of energy 24/7. As for jetting around in vehicles that run on fossil fuel, well, that is the technology we have at present. Now, given the fact that most 'Conservatives' absolutely hate EV's, especially Tesla's, were a plane developed that ran on batteries, the 'Conservatives' would be 'agin' the whole idea, no matter have efficient.

No because even in Africa, where sunlight is everywhere every day, solar technology is problematic. The biggest problem of it is chemical unreliability and bad durability, making it less cost effective than kerosine.
