There Is No Constitutional Right to Satanism

SCOTUS only gave Atheism the same 1st amendment rights, it did not declare it a religiion.
Secular Humanism is a religion, and has been recognized as such by the Supreme Court. Maybe atheism in the vaguest sense of the word isn't. However, the New Atheist movement is heavily aligned with Secular Humanism and scientism (which should also be considered a religion):

Islam should never be permitted in the USA either

Yawn. There are Christian sects who want to replace the Constitution. And not all Muslims, to my knowledge, want to replace the Constitution:

And, per the Constitution itself, people in America don't have to believe in the Constitution if they don't want to, just as they are free to change it entirely. Claiming that they do would be decidedly unconstitutional.

So yes, Islam should be permitted as much as anything else should. You'll just have to live with that.

Religion is a belief system. Secular humanism is a belief that religion is wrong. Both are belief systems and therefore legally religions. Atheism has no belief whatsoever so it is not a religion which is the reason SCOTUS acknowledged their free speech but could not label it a religion. IMO the whole thing is patently ridiculous on many levels.

Nope, secular humanism has quite a few beliefs, such as:

We are concerned with securing justice and fairness in society and with eliminating discrimination and intolerance.

I never said atheism in the purest, dictionary sense is a religion.

However, many prominent atheists are affiliated with belief systems, such as secular humanism, scientism, and so forth. The New Atheist movement, for example, I would consider a religion, since it is overtly affiliated with secular humanism, scientism, and so forth.

I'm also skeptical that there is really any difference between a "religious" belief and any other belief. Is there that much of a difference, for example, in believing that killing people is wrong because it's against the law, and believing that it is wrong because the 10 Commandments say so?

Traditional religion is also concerned with justice and fairness. Secular humanism is just a non belief in traditional religion. Makes no sense really.

No, secular humanism isn't just a non-belief in traditional religion. They have a specific set of beliefs or principles, many of which are aligned with liberal or left-wing politics.

You can go back and read it if you want to.

Nope, we can discriminate against Satanism while allowing legitimate religions like Christianity.
Yes you can but the government may not.

It is protected by the first amendment and your idiotic op offers no such precedent to the contrary

So it's a political party? What are you even talking about? Where do their beliefs and principles come from anyway? Do they have a set of tablets or something?

Yeah saw that already. "We believe"....Great. Sounds more like a cult. 'We believe' but have no basis for our beliefs. Humanism? What is that anyway? Is there some human god? Who is it? What do they tell you to believe? It all sounds like a bunch of garbage to me. Christians have the Bible, Jews the Tora......Is there a book of Secular Humanists? How does anyone know what they believe, other than not believing in religion?

What part of Christianity feels "legitimate" to you?
Is it the virgin impregnation part or the dead but still partly alive zombie-savior part?

Despite people arguing that Satanism is protected by the 1st Amendment. One can actually argue that there is no Constitutional right to Satanism:

There is very little case law on the specific issue of whether Satanism is a protected religion, and what we do have is a bit jumbled. An illustrative case from the mid-1990s from the federal court in the Northern District of Ohio, while not binding precedent, is an excellent summary of how confused American constitutional law has become regarding religion.
If you're church is quantified by the government or state as being a religion, then yes.........it is a religion.

Religion is nothing more than a large group of people believing the same things and worshipping the same ideals/icons.

Even Atheism is a religion.

Why does it matter?

So’ humanism can be wharever you want it to be?
