There Is No Constitutional Right to Satanism

The article disagrees with you:

There was an uproar last week when a school district in my neck of the woods approved an “after school Satan club.” After proper chaos ensued, the school district did the right thing and reconsidered, deciding they should not approve a club for children sponsored by the Satanic Temple after all.
The Article is just another opinion. A wrong opinion in this case.

Religious freedom extends to those religions you disagree with.

What we need to do is let a Satanist file a discrimination lawsuit, and maybe the current Supreme Court will rule against it.

Then the law will have established that Satanism isn't a real religion, but Christianity is.

But, for that matter, I'd say there are lots of "Christian" sects and cults which aren't legitimate religions either, such as the Westboro Baptists.

Well, that is one solution.

The better one is to just ignore them until they do something stupid like sacrificing someone's pet.

Despite people arguing that Satanism is protected by the 1st Amendment, one can actually argue that there is no Constitutional right to Satanism:

There is very little case law on the specific issue of whether Satanism is a protected religion, and what we do have is a bit jumbled. An illustrative case from the mid-1990s from the federal court in the Northern District of Ohio, while not binding precedent, is an excellent summary of how confused American constitutional law has become regarding religion.

I beg to differ, you have the constitional right to worship as you choose, whoever that may be.

Sure it is.

If a Muslim tries to fly a plane into a building, they'll be arrested for it. They can't claim it's their "1st Amendment right" to fly planes into buildings.
Flying planes into buildings is illegal, you ******* moron.

That doesn't change the fact that religion is none of the government's business.

Nope, we can discriminate against Satanism while allowing legitimate religions like Christianity.
Who says Christianity is a "legitimate" religion?
The whole scam is based upon biological impossibilities like virgin birth and an undead zombie savior that nobody has actually ever seen.
Legitimate?
Not quite.

Are you sure?

Italian shark has 'virgin birth' after 10 years in all-female shark tank

Legitimate?
Not quite.
it doesn't matter if you believe that aspects of the religion are "true" or not. That's not what is being used to consider it legitimate. And "religion" as a concept contains far more aspects than merely its mythology.

Alright then; what is the standard for legitimacy here?
Are you trying to say Jesus is actually a shark?
Wow!
That certainly adds some cred to your religion doesn't it?:auiqs.jpg:

Believe whatever you want as far as your personal faith. As for the first amendment religion provisions, the intent was clearly to keep America from experiencing the sort of religious wars as dotted european history.

And what's the difference between a religious war and an ideological war, such as the Civil War or WWII?

The Civil War was fought to preserve the union.
WW II was fought to repel Fascism.
Religious wars are just a bunch of primitive, delusional kooks killing each other over who has the best imaginary friend.

I suppose the difference is that a secular war isn't about giving your religion more power and competing religions less power even if there a religious tones to them at times. WWII really wasn't ideological vis a vis america anyway as we tried to stay out of it as best we could until we were attacked.

As a christian i will fight bigly against christianity being involved.

No. No, retarded commie Satanist ******.
The Founding Fathers had in mind only different denominations of the Christian religion when all the things were written.
Religion means of God. Not Allah, and not Beelzebub, *****!
You, my undereducated friend, are wrong.

As usual.

Do you ever get used to that?
