There have been 8 highly contested elections, in the USA, before 2020.
Every one of those elections, the contestants accepted the results as determined by congress and our judicial system. The loser conceded to the determined winner; EXCEPT 2020 WHEN TRUMP REFUSES TO ACCEPT THE RESULTS. There were many closer elections than 2020. Go figure.

1. 1800

2. 1824

3. 1860

4. 1876

5. 1912

6. 1948

7. 2000 - Bush Gore - the closest race in US history

8. 2016

1876 is a good election to bring up, since it made things clear that an election can be negotiated behind closed doors. Ever since then, it put the integrity of our elections in question.

The Electoral Count Act of 1887 clarified the rules so what happened in 1876 would not happen again.

No one ever considered this election contested besides Hillary Clinton.
No one considered 2020 contested except Trump. Hillary accepted the legal rulings and conceded and attended Trump's innaugaration to show support for the US system.
That is what someone puts our country first, does.

the "corrupt bargain" of hayes vs tilden could never happen today. could it? when one side receives orders directly from gpd's annointed, what room is there for negotiation.

as for we actual beliecers in constitutional government and american democracy. "we do not negotiate with terrorists,"?

I seriously doubt 2024 will be added to that list...

⚠️ "37% - Biden's job rating is the lowest of his presidency and the lowest for any president in NBC Poll since G.W. Bush second term. (Trump's low was 39%)"

The only reason that the 1876 problem isn't present today is because of what was mentioned earlier about the law that was passed in 1887. There are plenty of other ways an election can be compromised, however.

No one was in DC on J6? Some are still there. Fascist.

What are you attempting to say?
It is tough to rebut the truth.
Yes, it is you people are still trying to convince people the election was not stolen by prosecuting political prisoners. It has not worked and will not work.
