The US gov't uses the word "sovereign" only when it fits the agenda of the day- it doesn't, and hasn't recognized it for several decades, if not 200 years- it certainly doesn't recognize it at home, therefore no need to recognize it abroad- recognize meaning to respect- the US gov't has no self respect, therefore it can't show respect- self esteem is not self respect- self aggrandizing is preening and vanity- period.
