I see it as pretty even, Neither side has run a positive campaign. I think they were throwing softballs at Harris early on but her interviews the questions have gotten tougher and you can see frustration from her. Trump is getting rough treatment from the media.

Nominate a centrist who could draw broad support and defeat Trump. They had a golden opportunity to do so, but they declined.

Are you suggesting that they go against the guidelines (VP's normally take over when the President is no longer able to do the job) and nominate someone else, in such a short period of time? How would that work as far as all the States and all the delegates agreeing on someone? They all agreed on Harris who else do you think they would agree to and why would that be "following the guidelines"?

What I think you are doing is trying to build a fantasy world that would fit your desires.

Hey, I am NOT a fan of Harris. I do believe there are other Democrats more capable (Bloomberg for example, which would have been my pick) but I do not know how MY DESIRED PICK would have been able to get the nomination in such a short time and that would fit the guidelines of the entire country choosing the nominee. I'm not sure what "guidelines" you're referring to. But I'm pretty sure installing Harris by fiat didn't follow them.

Anyway, you're missing the point. People are fed up with Democrats and the party simply won't listen to the feedback. They didn't listen in 2016, and they're not listening now. They're still trying to sell Americans an agenda that half the country hates. That's not a recipe for success.
