What you do is you make a deal with all the countries that border Iran.

Their reward will be splitting the oil revenue as they each take a piece of land to dissolve the country of Iran. The US can provide air cover.

Oddly enough, for some reason, the very tip of the UAE jutting into the Strait seems to belong to Oman. Frankly, if I were running OPEC, I would have dug a big tunnel under the UAE to bypass the entire Strait so as to take Iran out of the picture.
