The last conservative president we had was a chap named Calvin.

Why can't republicans see the difference between conservatives and run of the mill (left leaning) republicans like Trump?
I simply don't get it. We elect republicans to be conservative. To balance the budget, cut the debt and deficit. To keep the government small and less intrusive. They all campaign on that. But they never do any of it. They come up with some ridiculous excuse and blame the left, even when they are in the majority.

For 5 decades now, the RINO's have been slowly taking the GOP left of center, and their voters either don't care or they're ignorant as to the benefits of what conservatism would bring to this government and the country.

All we get from the GOP voters now days is defending Trump and ignoring the RINO's in the house and senate who continue to pass CR's, increase debt ceiling, cave to the left on spending bills that fund Ukraine, Israel and other countries. And all the while letting places like Maui suffer.

I guess it's a useless fight. Because as long as the RINO's can keep getting elected, conservatives will just have to put up with it.

One thing is for sure though, if/when the USD crashes, BRICS starts making a bigger difference in the global economy, the RINO voters will be begging for fiscal conservatism. Or they'll accept a smooth talking chancellor who'll promise to fix everything. (and won't)
