I see one officer on the side of the driver's door and another right in front of the car facing the driver. That officer was able to step to his right and not get hit by the front of the car. Ask yourself, if he didn't move would he have been struck by the car? Anyway, all the analysis done so far does not qualify the driver as a saint and worthy of being a martyr, no matter how hard you morons try to twist this up. Might I suggest you go to the next ICE protest and do way better to convince the agents to use deadly force without obviously instigating the incident? Think about it Mac, you might get a statue built in your honor.

ICE cannot detain anyone without reasonable suspicion. There may be different rules within 100 miles of the border (which itself is a bonkers concept) but this doesn’t apply to Minneapolis.

Even ICE agrees they need reasonable suspicion.

Did you read the quote form ICE? They need reasonable suspicion to detain anyone.

Also, they consider keeping you for hours and taking you miles away to be “brief”, which is also ******* bonkers.

It's not unreasonable to believe someone who presents and is actively participating in hindering ICE may be illegal and confirmation of their citizenship is warranted. Cops can detain you in public to verify your identification with a lot of leeway.

However incidents of this happening are usually precipitated by failure to listen to lawful commands or projection of violence against LE ops.

If a suspect flees in a vehicle, you do not shoot at them. You try to stop the vehicle. Police protocols forbid every action the officer took. He created jeopardy and then applied deadly force.

What are you Maga d-sucks going to do when an administration you dislike use ICE to after you? You are setting them up for it.

Which is not what we are talking about. This is kind of a motte and bailey defense here.

The definition of a lawful command depends a lot on the circumstances. ICE cannot force you to give them your ID or answer any questions unless they have reasonable suspicion. Refusing to comply with mere requests does not constitute reasonable suspicion. Telling ICE to **** of when they make requests does not constitute reasonable suspicion. It definitely doesn’t constitute obstruction.

None of this really seems to matter to anyone on your side and you’ll spend a lot of time and effort trying to skirt the issues.
