As of right now, the UN hasn't made a formal condemnation against the capture of the Venezuelan oil tanker. The US holds veto power in the UN Security Council, which makes a formal condemnation by that body unlikely.

But it did piss off the UN when the US military struck those drug boats, because that made the price of their drugs rise a little.

Drug cartels exist just over the Rio Grande and have been there for decades. Why go after Venezuela, when the problem is much closer to home?
