Trump has sprung his trap. Liberals, your hate has made you stupid.
Let’s go over the timeline:
  • Trump; as Presidents do, takes materials with him. The GSA even sent more. The National Archives wants them back beginning in January, I think. Trump sends back 15 boxes back.
  • In June Trump’s lawyers meet with Feds. Trump takes them on a full tour of his residence. The Feds recommend a more secure locker which later installs.
  • In August a warrant is issued; the Feds raid the residence. 30 agents spend nine hours searching and bust the locker they asked Trump to install. They leave, according to Christina Bobb, a wanting inventory.
  • An alleged leaker is said to claim that Trump had nuclear documents. Cries erupt from the left to imprison and even execute Trump
  • Garland says he will make public the warrant if Trump OKs it.
  • Trump dares Garland to make the warrant public
Then the other shoe drops
What does one do when one wants to bury something like FBI
misconduct that one wants never to see the light of day? One classifies it “top secret.” And where are those “nuclear secrets”?

Here’s the thing- if the “leaker” knew what as there and where it was located why did the FBI need to spend nine hours looking for it? I waited and waited, but when Trump dared them to release the warrant, I knew it was over. I knew he had them.
Bravo. And to you liberals

Commentary:
The most comical angle to this story is that Donald Trump was President of the United States for four years … and when it was all over, he decided he had only 15 boxes of crap worth keeping. LOL.
While Clinton took furniture and documents and Obama left with 20 million documents which undoubtedly contained classified and beyond top secret documents.
For whatever reason Biden and Garland decided this raid was a good idea, it is pretty apparent they didn’t find what they wanted to find. Had they, they wouldn’t have waited 3 days to say anything about it.
Their intention is to indict Trump for something, anything and let that drag on for two years before it collapses under its own unsubstantiated weight. By then, it is expected, it’s too late for Trump (and the nation.

Wrong.

It was the Obama, Biden, and Clinton documents.

Trump initiated the warrant. He and his lawyers were done with them, made copies in accordance with laws if needed.

Trump and his family left Florida for the NYC deposition - so they were not in the residence at the time. The FBI was cooperative.

This smells a lot like desperation. Almost QAnon level.

Trump is not a big planner. He doesn’t need to be.

sounds about right

I ws thinking it would be funny if Trump did get in some kind of hot water bc of all this BS -- double standards galore-- and the US voted for him in droves anyway.

lol

It is perfectly legal to possess copies of government documents provided they are not classified. In fact the public information act clearly states the public can have copies of all unclassed documents and this certainly applies to an out going president. The president if he choses can make copies of any unclassified original documents and take them with him when he leaves. Many presidents do this and there is nothing illegal. However, it is illegal for the president to take original government documents and this is where Trump's problems began.

Starting the month after Trump left the presidency, the NARA started unofficially contacting Trump about missing documents as a courtesy. In May an offical inquiry was made and 15 boxes were received which contained a number of documents that Trump had damaged, altered or completely destroyed. Keep in mind that possession of these ordinal documents is illegal and destruction of documents is a bigger problem. In early 2022, some classified documents were returned. Later it was learned that there were more. In April 2022, the DOJ starting and investigation that led to the search warrant in Aug.

There is no evidence that the Clintons took any documents with them. Hillary Clinton went to extraordinary lengths to ensure that she retained no classified documents when she resigned as Secretary of State. She bleached her server and destroyed her devices. Obama created digital records and turned them over to the National Archives. The word "undoubtably" is a supposition not a fact. The FBI had to convince a federal magistrate to issue a warrant so they had to present facts. You are not handicapped in your stupid accusations. Neither Garland or4 Biden will say much about it nor should they as they do not want to compromise the investigation.

The President cannot just take the documents. Under the Presidential Records Act, all documents belong to the people. Obama made digital copies of his records and turned them over to the National Archives. This fulfilled his obligation. Trump did no such thing. He left no record of the documents he took.

As long the president takes copies which is what most presidents do, there is no problem. It really looks like Trump told to his staff to pack everything, classified and originals president records. Since we know he altered and even destroyed some of these documents, his intent is pretty clear.

True, but Hillary had already sent classified documents in unsecured emails so they were out there anyway. The problem with the handling of classified document in our society is that anyone elected to certain political offices has access to things others don't get without a security clearance. Just because a person in either party is able to convince the majority of voters to elect him/her, doesn't necessarily mean they are trustworthy to handle such documents as proven by the Clintons, Obama, Trump and many others.
