2. Live off of welfare, at the expense of the same wealthy people who would enslave you.

You're standard of living is about the same either way.

In most cases, if working paid a living wage, the vast majority would rather work. But that's not an option.

I've been doing electrical and instrumentation work since 1984...........I've been red lining prints from electrical engineers most of that time when the designs don't work..............

You may draw the prints..........but someone has to make it work...........hopefully your not the type who we have to fix and red line your prints to get the equipment online......................Because it seems too many engineers should have had to spend some time in the field to get a working knowledge of getting it done.....................

Actually, I worked as an electronic technician, then an engineering technician and finally an engineer, so I know what you mean about getting designs that don't work and having to do modifications. But, make no mistake about it engineers have a world of knowledge that techs do not.

First of all, conservatives support TPP, not liberals. That's another topic entirely. Try not to lose control and rant...

Secondly, while I agree that every able bodied person should work, I also believe that everyone should receive a fair wage based on the value of their productivity, not on the minimum that an employer is willing to pay based on market conditions.

Third, we can afford this and much greater spending levels because the American workers have produced enough wealth to pay for it easily. Unfortunately, control of all of tat wealth has gone to the wealthiest 0.01% instead of to those that earned it. (Actually, it's not the fault of the 0.01% that the rest of America is dumb as shit, but still stealing from the stupid is wrong.)

The problem lies with workers being grossly underpaid for many years, and the wealthy abandoning America in order to take advantage of the cheap labor overseas.
