And, yes, it is a matter of perspective. You do not have the monopoly on truth.

Without measurement how do you know theories are true or just the prejudice of the researcher?

Just take Frued's theories. How do we know there's an "id" and an "ego?" All we have is Freud's say-so on those issues.
I can know that ice cubes melt, without any ******* bias or measurements, dumbfucks.

Cavemen knew that ice cubes melt, but they weren't scientists now were they?
It is a matter of perspective. Please stop all of you!!!!
It is nothing like a matter of perspective. That's utter bullshit.
You are arguing with an engineer about science. WTF do you think he is going to say? Must you persist? Really?
I'm arguing with a human ******* calculator who thinks he knows deep-shit about anything because he drives a nice (leased) car. He's already shown he can't follow a rational line of thought like Hey, science isn't just pulling out a ruler to check on the size of his tiny (100K a year) dick, science could be trying to figure out how the cavemen figured out they could carry fire with them or start one in the first place, no ******* ruler required.

This thread is about more more more from Bernie Sanders......when we already have massive spending on Welfare and anti poverty measures as the number in this group increase.................

The reports posted, via CATO, shows there is no incentive to get off of these measures since in many cases they would be actually losing money if they did so.....................

The amounts listed by CATO are staggering regarding the amounts going out in some states................and the people in this country wonder why we are going broke..............add in the illegals getting them some too and we are headed for financial ruin...................

Bernie Sanders wants to hit the accelerator when we need to hit the brakes.

No, this thread is about the American people and the fact that we're sick of being ripped off and abused by the wealthy.

There is no incentive to get off of welfare because for many people available jobs (if there are any) do not pay a fair wage.

They have a choice:

1. Find a job, work your butt off to make someone else wealthy, live in abject poverty at a standard that's beneath that of a slave.

2. Live off of welfare, at the expense of the same wealthy people who would enslave you.

You're standard of living is about the same either way.

In most cases, if working paid a living wage, the vast majority would rather work. But that's not an option.

Many select #2 - and in a weird way, they are just being capitalists!
Your dear leader just ensured more jobs leaving with the TPP...............

Your dear leader has halted foreign investment, like the Key Stone Pipeline that would have given that opportunity to some.........

Your dear leader has blocked permits in Federal Land that would do the same.............

Perhaps you need to vote for someone else.........

Finally, those capable of working should work if able..............irregardless if it is better to stay on Welfare or not.............because it is the right thing to do................unless they have a mentality like you...........

I'm not for the TPP or the other Free Trade deals sending our jobs offshore.........never have been........I'm also not for those who would rather sit on their ass when capable of working even if it's being a garbage man..........

There is a significant difference between our mentalities..............we cannot sustain this level of spending and it needs to stop.

First of all, conservatives support TPP, not liberals. That's another topic entirely. Try not to lose control and rant...

Secondly, while I agree that every able bodied person should work, I also believe that everyone should receive a fair wage based on the value of their productivity, not on the minimum that an employer is willing to pay based on market conditions.

Third, we can afford this and much greater spending levels because the American workers have produced enough wealth to pay for it easily. Unfortunately, control of all of tat wealth has gone to the wealthiest 0.01% instead of to those that earned it. (Actually, it's not the fault of the 0.01% that the rest of America is dumb as shit, but still stealing from the stupid is wrong.)

The problem lies with workers being grossly underpaid for many years, and the wealthy abandoning America in order to take advantage of the cheap labor overseas.
Agreed. On one hand if the worker gets education they they can argue for more pay and the job goes overseas. On the other hand if the work does not get education the employer has to go overseas, or bring in, qualified help. Without the government on the side of the workers they will lose out one way or another.

You clearly have no idea what science is. Archeologists do take an awful lot of measurements before making any hypothesis about anything before making any hypothesis. That's called the scientific method. Most of us learned that in high school. Where were you?

The **** I don't. If anyone does then I do, I test everything, everything, I have that kind of mind and always have.
And yet you go on page after page whether or not science requires measurement without getting anywhere. Not very intelligent from my point of view, but that's just my opinion.

Cavemen knew that ice cubes melt, but they weren't scientists now were they?
They were if they were watching it as a scientist would. Science is a process, not a title you dumbfuck. All they had to do to be doing science was observe, a fundamental part of the process, which you would know if you weren't such a dogmatic ******* moron.

"Scientists" watched canon balls fly through the air for centuries and concluded that their trajectory was a right triangle with the 90 angle where the ball landed. It wasn't until measurements were taken that they confirmed the trajectory was a parabola.

Bullshit. Everyone observes, but scientists do it in a calculated methodical way. They take measurements. That's the difference between proof and bullshit opinions.

The fact is that most capitalists are insulated from the realties of capitalism and the inherent responsibilities.

First of all, I've worked in several factories and know people that have periodically had to live off of welfare and other government programs. The narrative that there are legions of people that choose to live off the these programs is false.

The vast majority of people want to work if given the chance - and that means a fair, living wage.

The fact is that the private sector does not believe that they have a responsibility to provide for 100% employment. So it's simple math. If the private sector will not provide 100% employment then there will always be people who do not have a job. It's that simple. What would you have these people do, just roll over and die?

If some people choose to stay on government programs, it's really a moot point until the private sector is willing to hire everyone or allow the government to hire them.

I am not and never have been in favor of Free Trade...............
It is the outsourcing of jobs that has gone on too long..............

It is also the destruction of our economy via living beyond our means...........We need to get the debt under control and can't do that unless we get the people working...........Those able to work need to work and TOO MANY have decided to stay on the tit instead of taking jobs.

Being and electrical engineer, and or being a veteran tech doesn't make mine or your opinion on Socialism more valuable than the other.................

Unless we want to continue the ELI the ICE man discussion.

The Hand Up has turned into a Hand Out...........and that is not acceptable...................

Capitalism isn't patriotic, hotshit. And the rich don't give a **** about the price of labor, only their investment returns which is where their money is, not in shoe factories overseas.

Your right, capitalists are not patriotic, which is exactly why I don't want capitalists running my government.

The fact is that most capitalists are insulated from the realties of capitalism and the inherent responsibilities.

In grammar school I learned that there is no such thing as freedom without responsibility. Unfortunately, most capitalists did not take that lesson to heart.
Full employment in capitalism is 5% unemployment. Now you know. And if you're going to spew Marxism, ******* learn it first.

And can you make a single ******* post without referring to yourself you giant ******* ego? Just make your goddamned point and move along.

There is a big difference between Capitalism and Croney Capitalism.....................and Socialism isn't the answer to correct our problem if it destroys our currency in the process.

The United States has been socialist since the beginning of the 20th century, and we have done quite well.

The fact that you've been raised on the BIG LIE that the U.S. is a capitalist country is where the problem is.

The real question isn't about being socialist or non-socialist, it's about the degree of socialism.

Everytime we partially un-socalize we have an economic catastrophe (like in 1929 and 2008).
