The Ukrainians have essentially wiped out the effectiveness of the Russian navy in the Black Sea and driven them to hide themselves in distant harbors in Russian ports outside of Crimea, where they are also sometimes attacked. Pretty good for a country without a navy!

They have also successfully dealt with the Russian Air Force. Russia never controlled the skies over Ukraine. It has been forced to use its best planes instead just as platforms to launch missiles from afar in Russia. Now that role is being challenged as well, as the huge Russian intelligence radar planes are disappearing one after the other.. Bravo!

Of course many of Ukraine’s best pilots have also fallen in battle. We will see if new pilots trained abroad can keep up the pressure and if the U.S. and NATO will provide more anti-aircraft and anti-missile interceptors absolutely necessary to protect Ukrainian cities.

For the first time since the start of the war, the skies over eastern part of Ukraine is fully clear of putin´s planes. I think those 15 lost SU-34s, SU-35s and A-50 in 2 weeks sent the point across.
everything besides the strategic aviation is grounded. The A-50s, the SU-35s, SU-30s, SU-35s etc. The only thing that still flies are Tupolev and Mig 31 for very long range missile lobbing if there are still any missiles left in numbers. Right now Moscow empire should be re-stockpiling due to slow production though.

The A-50s is very good, now Moscow empire has lost their main air and ground surveillance capability. Those upgraded S-200 missiles integrated in to Western Radar systems along with IR upgrade is doing wonders. 200km reach with good accuracy. Not possible to dodge it anymore by just removing the radar track.
