The SAVE America Act is dead

The problem is some states, including my own, have decided to turn a blind eye to any election fraud as long as it suits their interest.
So move. It should be up to the states how to assign their electoral votes.
That violates my right as a Federal Citizen in Federal Elections.
Feds have too much power.
Damn right I want the federal government to make sure I retain my right to vote as well as the sanctity of my vote.
Bullshit. You just want a win for your side. You don't give a single solitary **** about the "sanctity" of the vote.

Mkay. I don't care.

Then shut the **** up.

You damn sure don't need to tell me about conservatism or whatever nonsense you want to pitch, because the same US Constitution gives you any right you may think you have, especially if you don't care.

The only idea you have any State's Rights at all, is because of the 10th Amendment.

Tenth Amendment - US Constitution

The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the states
, are reserved to the states respectively, or to the people.

No.

They have the power to do this via the Constitution.

My side doesn't need systemic cheating to win, and spare me the here and there cheating as a retort.

The vile dems installed a 45 Day early voting period in Virginia that nobody asked for the first time they held sway.

Now they plan to gerrymander the congressional districts 10-1 in vile dem favor.

Hopefully Virginians say FU but even then they scheduled the vote in April hoping for low turnout.

How many illegals voted, where is your proof? How many citizens will end up disenfranchised?

The States were given the job to regulate and perform federal elections by our constitution because our founders could not trust the Federal govt to run their own elections without cheating or chicanery.

It should stay that way imo.

Hard to get proof when ID isn't required and the people in charge don't want to know if it's happening. Harder still when absentee ballots and mail in ballots are sent out willy nilly and voting is allowed to occur for months instead of just one day.

The Federal Constitution says congress can pass laws regulating federal elections. I was wrong about this as well until corrected.

Gonna go with a hard "no" on your request.

I'm pretty sure I do. MAGA is not a conservative movement.

??? Can you rephrase that? Are you trying to make a point?

You are sure about a lot of things that could not be farther from the truth. :auiqs.jpg:

And you are the only dipshit talking about MAGA in this conversation.
You made your point and it is ******* stupid, you political hack.

Senate Leader Thune throws cold water on filibuster change in push for voter-ID bill

Key Points
  • Senate Majority Leader John Thune, R-S.D., on Tuesday said he supported the SAVE America Act, but that there is not enough support in the Senate to change the filibuster and clear a path for the controversial bill.
  • The House is expected to vote this week on the legislation, which would require people to prove their citizenship to register to vote and show ID at the ballot box.
  • GOP hardliners have called for a return to the “standing filibuster,” which requires Congress members to be physically present and talking on the Senate floor to delay legislation.

Yeah, like the Senate would do anything to save America. 😐

They are all on the same team, and it isn’t team USA....Why isn't "Uniparty" a recognized political party affiliation yet?

They won't even act on a 85/15 issue.....Well, back to naming walking trails in national parks I guess. :dunno:
Thune should be investigated. Why is he afraid of voter ID?

We need picture voter ID. And every ballot should have serial number and the same security features as a $100 bill so people can't just print out ballots.

After the 2012 election 1500 illegals were found to have voted in one county (Prince William) during a ongoing VSP investigation.....When Terry McAuliffe took office in 2014 the investigation was ended by the dem administration. No arrests or prosecutions.
McAuliffe, one of the Clintons' favorite pets, is corrupt beyond words.

or a chip in your right hand or forehead identifying you as a number in order to vote and buy and sell etc....

You can rest assured that I won't be volunteering for that, and at least I have the comfort of knowing that I can afford to move somewhere else. I mean I would like to hang in there and fight, but if the rest you folks let it get that far, there won't be much left to fight for, except a piece of land I can regrettably live with or without.

15th post
I doubt changing the filibuster was ever close to being possible as long as the GOP controls the Senate. Nor should it be, even for one specific cause. I think the SAVE Act was good legislation and both parties should have voted for it, but C'est la vie. I'm sure if the GOP had changed the filibuster rules, the democrats would have used it on every bill they wanted to pass and we'd probably become a one-party gov't.

Good.

Not a single inch should be given, as long as the GOP is still propping up lies about the 2020 election.

Gerrymandering is actually damaging to our democracy, and Rs love that shit. Is this just more blatant hypocrisy? Doh -- I think it is!

But this is exactly their end goal of what you are arguing for Bitter... just look at the wider view...please be careful for what you wish for....look further, for their end goal....and it is to digitize us....each with their own number as identity and some kind of biometrics as proof.
