Spoken like a true trollYou can't admit it huh?
Clear as mud. They need to make sure there are resources form their programs. The argument is not the programs it is the fit and who pays the costs for the sizes of them. And we payout much more than we take in. So, we argue who pays and how it is dealt with.
Keep in mind, this CR is almost the same exact CR that they passed during Biden's term. Stewart is partially wrong here. He thinks the democrats caved. They caved on one issue. The extended ACA subsidies. But this is just the battle.
Every time the GOP passes this CR, they're caving to some BS the democrats put it when Biden was in office, instead of 12 separate, single issue spending bills.
The able bodied welfare sponges are still going to get their $2,000+ per month SNAP benefits. The Dept. of Education is still getting funded. Along with all the other government agencies.
This is a victory for the big government RINO's and democrats. The ACA subsidies are still getting funded. The only thing cut were the extended ACA subsidies that came with Covid.
Grok: Are normal ACA subsidies still getting funded with the new continued resolution?
Yes, normal ACA subsidies (the standard premium tax credits established under the Affordable Care Act) remain fully funded under the new continuing resolution (CR) passed by the Senate on November 10, 2025, and expected to clear the House shortly thereafter.
Also, within a couple of weeks, the GOP will more than likely pass another spending bill that'll include the extended covid ACA subsidies. That's the deal Thune and the RINO's made with Schumer. This is only a short term victory of a small battle. The democrat will win this war, because the RINO's are weak.
OK, You missed getting to the part where the GOP caved in this shutdown.
You call it "caving" by passing a clean CR? Why would you offer the Democrats a legitimate reason to shutdown the gvt?I even put that part in bold print. How could you miss it?

Then you simply don't understand what the term means. THis bill is the funding for a month. You need to the look at the appropriation bills they are passing, and ***** about themBecause there's nothing "clean" about this so called clean CR.

I'm looking for an informed debate. When you are proposing offering anything but a clean CR you are siding with the Democrats. Not sure why you don't understand thatIf you're going to ignore the points I made, and say some BS about how I don't understand "the term," then what's the point of even discussing it? You're just looking for an argument.
If anything comes out of this, it's s realization that shutdowns DO NOT WORK!
The side shutting down the government always capitulates in the end.
Can't imagine how the Dems hypnotized themselves into believing it would work for them when it's literally neve worked for Republicans.
Live and learn.
You'd think, if nothing else, THIS would be a "teachable moment" for Democrats.
You know the House was in recess for a record period of time under Johnson's leadership, right?

Its gov't and predictions are usually all wrong. The teller will happen by Dec. 15 when the vote on ACA occurs. I predict the democrats will be howling at the moon after it fails, but as stated in my first sentence---probably wrong.Yep, the stupid party is also spineless and Bidet spending priorities continue unabated.
That's the ironic part. Yes, they control the media and Yes they even managed to sway public opinion to gain a plurality blaming Republicans for the shutdownThey overestimated the current power of the Democrat media.

Its amazing the things that happen when air traffic is affected just before the busiest flying day of the year. That's the ironic part. Yes, they control the media and Yes they even managed to sway public opinion to gain a plurality blaming Republicans for the shutdown
And they STILL ended up caving!
All the Republicans had to do was... nothing. Nothing at all. Just keep voting every day to reopen the government and let the Dems line up to vote to keep it closed.

LOL, you really think the vote will produce a majority of yea votes? We'll see.90% chance it doesn't fail. And the democrats get what they were fighting for all along.
