The Republican solution to all American poverty is “well find a better paying job.” Here’s why that doesn’t make sense.

This solution would of course apply on a micro level for specific people. It isn’t a solution to poverty itself, however. For one thing, higher paying jobs are greatly outnumbered by lower paying jobs. That means that inevitably millions of people will fail to get higher paying jobs regardless of how hard they tried. It’s a matter of simple mathematics. And even if the wealth of opportunity was there, who would be left to fill all those low wage service jobs vital to the functioning of the economy?

Republicans don’t have solutions to poverty besides this. The only way to alleviate poverty is 1) corporations deciding to pay more on a wider scale or 2) Government intervention.

If people didnt accept low paying jobs, the pay would increase. Just like it did after Covid when everyone was sitting on their fat asses getting that fat unemployment check.
Most basic of economics.
Doesnt surprise me you dont get it.

What’s the Democrat’s solution?

Lol this makes zero sense. So your solution is for them to sit on their fat asses until employers decide to pay more? They should reject any income that isn’t sufficient until the position increases its wage?

You don’t expect prices to rise?
No not if it is done properly and realistically. The solution has never been “yeah let’s pay those making $10 per hour $20 per hour starting tomorrow.” I mean you have noticed that any time minimum wage was raised the economy didn’t crumble right? States have been doing this for years. Their economies did not suffer.

If people work for shit wages, why would someone increase the pay?
Okay so your solution is for them not to paid at all? I mean what is your solution? You were just complaining about people sitting on their fat asses. Lol you make no goddamn sense.

Their economies haven’t drawn anyone in either.
As an example, unions get raises but over a decade or 2 it causes prices of goods and services to rise and we wind up with plenty of people who are defined as poor because the increase in MW for a non-union member does not match the Union raise.

/——-/ Yeah, life is tough. Don’t even bother trying, stay home, collect welfare and blame the rich. Uncle Joe will give you some crumbs off the table.

No you just choose to believe that because you are insecure. You like to fancy yourself independent and tough in comparison to everyone else. It’s completely fallacious.
I have always supported myself.
We never hear Republicans demanding free stuff.
We only hear Democrat politicians offering free stuff and Democrat Voters demanding free stuff.
