A jury will have to convict, first.

It seems to me that in the end, the fatal flaw in all this corrupt lawfare against Mr. Trump will prove to be the impossibility of seating an impartial jury to hear any charges against him and agree to convict him of those charges.

They cannot convict him of any crime unless they can form a jury of a dozen people who have no bias against him, and get all twelve to agree to convict.

That is the ultimate and final safeguard in our system of justice, against the sort of abuses now being attempted against Mr. Trump.
