Capitalism is what gets people out of poverty. It isn't perfect either, but it's better than being under government control. Just ask the South Africans.
People under our welfare system have to resort to breaking the law in order to not starve in that last week.
Some do it legally, like buying from yard sales and selling them at a higher price.
Others make things to sell, but most choose the law breaking route because it makes more money.

This social system of welfare has to be restructured, where it really helps people to get out of poverty.
