The Real 'Far Right'

For those not competent to recognize that anyone who disagrees with liberal policies is not a 'far right' whackjob, the article below outlines the real 'far right'. Now, on the day that this becomes the SOP for Republicans, Conservatives, TEA Partiers or any other group, you are welcome to refer to them as 'far right', otherwise, I would suggest that you STFU about 'far right' to describe everyone who does not hero worship Obama. You make yourselves look fucking stupid.

The attack seemed singularly horrific: an Egyptian pharmacist, Marwa el-Sherbini, was testifying during an appeal hearing in a Dresden courtroom on July 1 when a Russian émigré, Alex Wiens, lunged at her with a 7-in. kitchen knife. The pregnant mother was stabbed to death as her husband and 3-year-old son looked on helplessly. After protests swept the Arab world, Wiens was sentenced in November to life in prison for what the court deemed a racially motivated murder.

Though shocking in its brutality, the attack was not an anomaly in Germany. Authorities say the country has experienced a disturbing rise in extreme-right-wing violence in recent years. The Federal Criminal Police Office (BKA) said in a report released last week that politically and racially motivated crimes by the far right hit a record high of more than 20,000 in 2008. Figures for 2009 won't be released until early next year, but the BKA expects them also to be above normal.

so short of blowing things up, you don't see a far right in this country?

what about people who talk about armed insurrection?

Talking about armed insurrection has happened for decades, actually for more than decades..... It was quite prevelent during the '60s..... but that was the left so pretend that didn't happen.

What I am saying is that the 'far right'... is not the GOP, the TEA Partiers, Conservatives or any other 'mainstream' group. The 'far right' in our country are hiding in the hills awaiting Armaggedon. The Nazis are far right. There are far right groups all over the world. I am just sick to the back teeth of idiot liberals calling everyone and anyone who disagrees with them the 'far right'. They can go fuck themselves into oblivion with their stupidity. You are not one of them.

Don't you think there are many on the right who lump anyone to the left of them politically into "Teh Evil Libruls?"

And how about the guy who killed the guard at the Holocaust museum?

And what about the guy who killed the doctor who performed abortions?

Those guys not "right wing?"

I have never heard talk of armed insurrection as much as I have over the past year.

I'd say I'm as sick of people calling everyone who disagrees with them "far right" as I am of loons who call everyone who disagrees with them far left... or stupid phrases like "librul" or socialist or commie or fascist or whatever the loons feel like calling the people they disagree with.

While I don't think the GOP per se is "far right", I think the party has become insanely reactionary... and I think in courting the wingiest of the far right, they have both encouraged that extremism and co-opted it.

I guess.....notice how few of them there are.

And they always seem to pop up while the Dems are going about their normal routine of taxing the shit out of us and abusing their powers.

It seems that when a Repug is in the White House most of the radical right-wingers are blowing themselves up in Muslim countries. Here in the states It seemed that when Bush was president it was mostly college students shooting their classmates. Remember Virginia Tech?

I think it's an option.

It is. And it is why the Founders (God Bless Them) enshrined the right to bear arms. But... simply put, the left whine now about this 'far right' threatening armed insurrection but conveniently overlook the decades of this talk - mainly from the fucking left!

Simple fact though.... the 'far right' in this country are not out in public, they are hiding in the mountains, stockpiling weapons and not paying taxes. Yet, continually, it is hard working, honest, decent people who have this label thrown at them. Personally, I find it beyond stupid that some (note some - not all) lefties are incapable of not hearing the sound of the jackboot every time anyone who disagrees with them protests.

Classic example - Pelosi 'crying' and 'remembering' the 1970s violence.... conveniently overlooking who was responsible for that violence. The fucking left wing radicals... yet, I do not assume all liberals to be violent radicals - even if, historically, there is evidence to suggest they may be.

That pity-party was nauseating.:(

Maybe that's because it was mainly coming from the left? Not that I think for one second that you are part of the radical fringe of the left, Jillian! But.... and there is a big but... for decades, the left have ranted about overthrowning the government.

I'm not talking about silly name calling (both sides are equally responsible for dumbass behavior) but this obsessive use of the term 'far right'. There is a 'far right' - they are expanding all over Europe and, yes, they are expanding in our nation too but... they are NOT the GOP, Conservatives, TEA partiers, etc.

You talk about the GOP courting the hard right but our own damned POTUS is friends with one of our most infamous domestic terrorists. It's just a tad ironic for any liberal to accuse the right of it unless they acknowledge their own faults.

no. it isn't. that's why the founding fathers made treason the only crime mentioned in the constitution and the govt kicked the south's butt when they tried it.

It is NOT an option... it is sore losers being mad that they lost an election. the dems didn't act like that even when they won the popular vote and the court appointed bush president.

so... if you wonder why people think the right is wingnjuts, maybe it's because someone who's NOT a wingnut can say armed insurrection is an option.

Maybe you need to change the channel. The state-run media wants you to be afraid of armed insurrection. Right now the Dems aren't listening to us. They know they're doing something that goes against the will of the people.

They fill your head full of nonsense of an invisible threat. Other Americans by the millions are labeled a threat. And they've been telling you to watch out for trouble. That way they can keep you in line.

Every despotic regime starts out this way. The chances of it ever happening are slim....but they love to keep you on the lookout for possible threats.....maybe you'll drop a dime on your friends, relatives, or neighbors.

the only ones who have ever talked about overthrowing the govt were anarchists. They aren't co-opted by the democratic party like the teabaggers have been courted by the repubs.

the far right isn't just in europe. the far right is on this messageboard. and i'm aware that people who post on messageboards tend to be both more vocal and more extreme than the general population.

the far right is the people who defend murder of doctors who perforn abortions.
the far right is the people who talk about violent overthrow because they lost an election.
the far right is the people who talk about anyone who disagrees with them as if they're the enemy.
the far right is the people who wish death on people because they disagree with them... like annie coultergesit who is beloved by the right... saying that a presidential candidate should die in a terrorist attack because she doesn't like his politics.
the far right wishes failure on this administration (and by extension this country).

what an über-phony thread with über-phony posts by the über-phony cally.

points to far right groups in germany. haha
at least she managed to acknowledge that nazis are right wing.

but here in europe we have a different scale as i have learned.

our conservative chancellor would be called a flaming lib by many of you posters who consider yourself moderate or mainstream.

which in consequence would make our far right wing your mainstream.

Funny....but the left is all of the above as well.

No they aren't.

The far right is a movement. They are not 'far right' just because you want them to be.
