Actually, the Iraq "war" was an illegal preemptive invasion by the President of the United States in direct violation of international law, based on the lies of a CIA informant codenamed "Curveball" who has already admitted on national television that he lied about everything. The Authorization for the Use of Military Force in Iraq gave the President the authority to use the military as he saw fit. It was not a vote by Congress to go to war with Iraq.

No, Benghazi and Iraq are not the same thing. Iraq was a crime against humanity.

The use of military force was authorization for President Bush if he decided if Iraq (1) poised a continuing threat to the United States, or (2) was involved in the 9-11 attacks.

When in reality it was a crisis that had been brewing for months over Kuwait's over-producing oil and driving the price down. He also asked his favorite trading partner (the US) what they thought about it well before the invasion.

However, one could argue that CAT (Civilian Air Transport), the forerunner and original CIA secret airforce which became Air America, was started in 1950 under Truman. It was used to help to help the Chinese, but also the French in Indochina in the air transport of troops and supplies.
One could also agrue that the Vietnam War didn't acutually end until 1975, under Ford.
