However, it strikes me that the entire State -level process has a Fatal Flaw in it that may set all that aside.

Namely, the lack of Standing on the part of individual States to take it upon themselves to declare Insurrection at the Federal level.

It would have been better had a Federal -level declaration to that effect been made immediately after January 20, 2021.

Then, the States would have been on more solid ground in acting upon that Federally-recognized state of affairs.

But, as usual, the Democrats' own shortsightedness and lack of preparedness and forward thinking soured the milk.
