Deaths from COVID-19 in the US were three times higher total under Biden compared to Trump.

Actually, they were about evenly split. The death toll was about half a million when Trump left. Antoher half million died before Biden could get the vaccines distributed. (Not helped by the fact you fucking idiots resisted vaccines at every opportunity.)

Presuming Biden actually got that many votes....

There's really two choices here:
-10,000,000 Democrats who voted for Biden did not vote for Harris
-There was a coordinated effort across all 50 states to reduce Harris's vote count.

Well, first, since there are 5 million votes at least waiting to be counted, and many of those are probably going to go to Harris, perhaps even bringing Trump below 50%.

But let's grant that about 2 million Biden voters voted for Trump and about 5 million didn't vote at all.

That's actually, kind of understandable. If you didn't live in a swing state and you aren't seeing the meat wagon picking up your neighbors who died of Covid, you probably aren't feeling the urgency to vote, especially for a candidate who tapped in at the last minute.

About 12M fewer people voted in 2024 than did in 2020. This despite the high stakes, raw emotions and contentious campaigns, and the fact that there was a surge in voter registration after Harris replaced Biden on the ticket

Of those 12M fewer votes, less than million came from trumps tally and more than 11 million were likely shaved off of Harris’ tally ……..based on her performance vs. Bidens performance.

The question is, did all of those newly registered voters just not show up. What happened to the enthusiasm on both sides. ? What happened to all of the palpable fear expressed on both sides, but especially by Democrats-of the horrors that would ensue if their candidate lost? Did all of those people go into early hibernation just before the election? And what about the polls, most of which showed a very close photo finish horse race? Clearly there is a major disconnect between those predictions and the results.

While I am not alleging anything nefarious here, I would like to know what happened to those 12 M votes, many of which I suspect would have been cast for Harris. One thing is certain though. We will not be hearing the word “rigged” coming out of Trumps pie hole any time soon

There was no cheating in 2020.

Less people just showed up this time.

Trump barely got any more votes this time than he got last time.

Less people showed up for Harris because she only had three months to organize a campaign.

Oh, Trump's "Margin" is down to 3.9 million and 50.5% now. With 37% of California still to be counted.


So let's try to be honest here. About 9 million less people voted this time. Probably less than that.

Part of it was because people really didn't like either candidate.

Part of it was because mail-in voting wasn't as available as in 2020.

Democrats committed a serious unforced error of not getting Biden to step down before the primaries and letting the primary process play out.

That and America can't get past her misogyny and racism and elect a black woman.

Kamala skipped the primary and did an et tu bruta for all to see.
This was pretty much predictable. Did 10 million Democratic voters get pissed off and stay home? Maybe but I doubt it.

I brought up the same subject. Apparently the popular vote count is still not fully tabulated. It is likely Harris will close the gap but it is highly likely Trump wins the final popular vote by a wide margin.
