The popular vote count-There is something fishy

There is something fishy about the popular vote totals

Note: These numbers are rounded for clarity

Fact: In 2024 about 143M people voted. Harris got 69.2M or 47.7 % and Trump got 73,5M or 50.1%

Fact: In 2020 155M people voted Biben got 81,3 M or 51.3% and Trump got 74.2M or 46.8%

Takeaways:

About 12M fewer people voted in 2024 than did in 2020. This despite the high stakes, raw emotions and contentious campaigns, and the fact that there was a surge in voter registration after Harris replaced Biden on the ticket

Of those 12M fewer votes, less than million came from trumps tally and more than 11 million were likely shaved off of Harris’ tally ……..based on her performance vs. Bidens performance.

The question is, did all of those newly registered voters just not show up. What happened to the enthusiasm on both sides. ? What happened to all of the palpable fear expressed on both sides, but especially by Democrats-of the horrors that would ensue if their candidate lost? Did all of those people go into early hibernation just before the election? And what about the polls, most of which showed a very close photo finish horse race? Clearly there is a major disconnect between those predictions and the results.

While I am not alleging anything nefarious here, I would like to know what happened to those 12 M votes, many of which I suspect would have been cast for Harris. One thing is certain though. We will not be hearing the word “rigged” coming out of Trumps pie hole any time soon

Because the vote this year was in line with all general election votes for a very long time time except for 2020 and the fact that they seemed to materialize out of thin air after 2 a.m. the night of the election, it is reasonable to ask whether those 12 million extra votes in 2020 ever existed at all.

I know. I know. There is no 'evidence' of massive fraud enough to change the outcome of the 2020 election. But it sure doesn't meet the smell test.

(I realize it's currently 70.3M to 74.3M votes nationwide, about 11M less)

These are ongoing court cases where the Judge is demanding answers and the USPS is not answering.

There exists a whole "machine" of co-conspirators working to usurp the nation. 9 trucks with over a million each of completed fraudulent ballots doesn't happen without a lot of people involved.

Are you fucking kidding me? The USPS was in the tank for Trump in 2020. DeJoy was Trump's stooge and he deliberately slowed down mail delivery to help Trump.

Well, it won't for you Trump Cultists, but that's besides the point.

You've had four years to look into this. Seems pretty simple.

John Smith Claimed to have voted by mail, but here's an affidavit from John Smith saying he never voted, and certainly wouldn't have voted for Biden.

Then you repeat that process, oh, 200,000 times in the swing states.

Here's what's more likely to have happened.

If you didn't live in a swing state, and you weren't terrified of losing your job or dying of Covid like you were in 2020, you probably just plain old didn't go out and bother to vote.

This is pretty much what we saw in 2012. Votes increased in the Swing States but went down in the Non-Swing states.

(I realize it's currently 70.3M to 74.3M votes nationwide, about 11M less)

There are a couple straightforward reasons for the gap between Harris' and Biden's totals. First of all, votes are still being tallied, including in the most populous state, California.

"Most people just don't really understand how election administration and the tabulation of election results actually works in this country," said Kathy Boockvar, who oversaw elections in 2020 in Pennsylvania as its secretary of the commonwealth. "And that of course leads, unfortunately, to susceptibility to conspiracy theories and false information."

The process of certifying votes varies from state to state. In many cases it takes weeks to complete, as officials process overseas and military ballots, review provisional ballots, and conduct audits.

(I realize it's currently 70.3M to 74.3M votes nationwide, about 11M less)

And it's probably going to be less than that.

As of right now, about 37% of the ballots in California haven't been counted.

There are about 6 million votes still outstanding from CA. 300K outstanding from WA, and 400K outstanding from Oregon. 368K in AZ. So let's say for the sake of argument that we are going to see about 7 million added to the total, probably a 60-40 split for Harris given most are coming from Blue areas.

So maybe 4 million less people voted.

Understandable when you have two candidates a lot of people didn't like, with no immediate threat of recession or war or plague motivating people to get to the polls.

The evidence would suggest otherwise.

You don't have any evidence, guy.

The 2020 United States Postal Service crisis was a series of events that caused backlogs and delays in the delivery of mail by the United States Postal Service (USPS). The crisis stems primarily from changes implemented by Postmaster General Louis DeJoy shortly after taking office in June 2020.[1][2][3] The delays have had substantial legal, political, economic, and health repercussions.[1][2][4][5][6]

On August 18, 2020, under heavy political and legal pressure, DeJoy announced that he would be "suspending" the policy changes until after the November 2020 election.[7] He testified to the Senate on August 21, and to the House of Representatives on August 24, concerning the changes and their effects.[1]

The USPS was in the tank for Trump in 2020.

Yeah, looks like you're right for once:

The American Postal Workers Union’s National Executive Board has voted to endorse Joe Biden for President of the United States. In their decision, the Board recognized his record of advancing the cause of unions, his support for the public Postal Service, postal workers, and his opposition to postal privatization.
_______________________
In 2018, the White House issued two reports which laid out plans to raise mail and package prices while cutting service, to do away with our hard-won collective bargaining rights achieved in the heroic and Great Postal Strike of 1970, and even the outright sale of the people’s Postal Service to private corporations. Recently, the White House went so far as to threaten to veto a major COVID stimulus package if it included support for the Postal Service even though both the House and Senate had reached a bipartisan compromise to ensure funding. The White House and the Treasury Department are advancing their plans to sacrifice the Postal Service on the altar of private profit, using the crisis of the pandemic to carry out their destructive policies. President Trump has labeled the public Postal Service “a joke”, an insult to every postal worker and customer. In addition, President Trump’s policies are hostile to unions and workers’ rights, oppose living wages and a healthy environment, undermine Veteran benefits, threaten the vital programs of Social Security and Medicare and openly incite dangerous racial, ethnic and religious bigotry and division when the working class needs unity and solidarity more than ever to advance our common interests.

What happened is that diseased-Americans did not vote at the record rates of 2020.

You might have a point. A lot of people had diseases in 2020 because of Trump's criminal incompetence.

Actually, the number of people who voted is likely to only be about five million less than 2020. They still have 5 million more votes to count in CA and another million in other states.

In fact, more people died of COVID (reportedly) in Biden's first year than Trump's final one.

Trump had no vaccines (first was approved in December, 2020 - Trump had Pfiser for one month). Biden had three vaccines, funded by Trump's moon shot.
