The Muppet just haven't been the same since Jim died. I know that I was born the exact same year that he died, but still,... I binge watch the classic Sesame Street clips sometimes because that was the pre-woke era and I get the adult jokes now that I didn't as a kid. Ernie was the OG troll too. 😂

RIP Jim Henson.

Jim Henson was a genius. Sure miss him.

Me too The Muppet Christmas Carol is the first Muppet film after his death and I actually think that it's still pretty good, (as well as Muppet Treasure Island a few years later) but as you said Jim Henson himself was a genius since he made something that both children and adults could enjoy. I'm surprised that they got away with this back then though, I would think that there would be too many angry parents of children pulling an Ernie. 😂

I'm a purist.

When Jim Henson died, so did Kermit.
When Frank Oz retired, Miss Piggy died.

I think I watched a couple of the movies after these facts. But I didn't care for anything else muppet related.
Still don't. Jim and Frank were it.....as far as I'm concerned.

Same, since with the exception of the two movies that I just mentioned I don't really like The Muppets past the Jim Henson era. Some of the new stuff is average but not my favorite. This almost made me cry the first time I saw it even though Mr. Hooper died before my time. 😢
