Yep, in the past the Democratic Party was divided into the Southern Democrats and the Northern Democrats; it was known then and even today as divided as progressives, libersls moderates and blue dogs.

Harry Truman integrated our armed forces and the Southern Democrats bolted. Then in 1954 the Supreme Court passed Brown v. Board of Education landmark decision, the Southern Democrats in 1956 put forth a manifesto with opposition to racial integration of public places.

im only conservative on certain things....i might be more liberal than you on some things.....and i have no problems with fixing that which is broken.....my problem lies on who will do the fixing.....so many times its the same politicians who got us were we were in the first place....doing that is pretty stupid,but yet both parties do it...

We are a Constitutional Republics and a Democratic REpublic in that we have many democratic funcitons, such as electing the President and Congressmen.

But, we also have many UNDEMOCRATIC functions, such as the SUPREME COURT, which is NOT elected and co-equal with the elected ones.
