The Official Trump Administration Grift, Graft and Corruption Thread

I made this thread ABOUT the Trump Administration. I don’t care if there are some comparison’s to specific Biden actions that might be relevant but don’t derail it and make it a referendum on Biden. Just start another thread.

What crimes? If he committed any why hasn't trump's handmaiden Pam enjoined a grand jury? Why aren't House committees run by Repubs calling witnesses? Oh, wait, they did that and it blew up in their faces.
Unlike the J6 Committee which made criminal referrals to the DoJ over trump's plot to steal the election.

Given that there are so many instances and example and I anticipate many more over the next four years, I think it it might be good to track them in one thread. Whether it is conflicts of interest, pay for play, corruption, influence peddling, pardoning or dropping charges on those accused or convicted of corruption, profiting from the office…put it all here. With the whole-sale dismantling or neutering of many watchdog agencies/boards/councils set up to provide an independent system of checks and balances and protect whistle-blowers, this has become so blatent and unapologetic, it seems as if the administration is thumbing their nose at us and daring anyone to speak up. If they do, they will almost certainly become a target.

I’ll start with something pretty mild compared to what has gone on so far (such as the case with Eric Adams).

Tom Homan, Trump’s “Border Czar” has financial ties to a large private prison corporation which will benefit from contracts to incarcerate deportees.

Ethics experts and immigrant rights advocates are raising concerns over newly disclosed financial ties between Tom Homan, Trump's "border czar," and GEO Group, a major private prison company poised to benefit from the administration's push to expand immigrant detention.

According to a federal ethics disclosure obtained by The Washington Post, Homan received more than $5,000 in consulting fees from GEO Care, a division of GEO Group, in the two years prior to joining the Trump administration in January.
I'm interested in how the members of congress can make millions of dollars while serving? Can you explain that for us?

Must be time for another deflection thread to get away from the fact that Biden's DOE just blew 96 billion dollars, more than twice what they spent over 15 years, just in the 74 days after losing the election before Trump took office. And Biden gave it away to companies without even a business plan nor product.

So of course it must be grift, graft and corruption now if anyone in Trump's cabinet has any connections whatsoever with what they are doing or makes in any way, so much as a nickel, directly or indirectly, in doing it.
As though we needed another thread for depositing the daily bitching and moaning about Orange Man.

Graft

“The politics of plunder”…Trump using his position as POTUS to attack on legal firms (and media) who represented people or causes he doesn’t like or feel “treated him unfairly”. Using his power for personal vendettas and then coercing them into settlements to fund “causes”he supports like his presidential library.

Reasonable point, perhaps that was the wrong choice to start the thread with since it isn’t outright corruption. However it isn’t the only issue with Homan. He runs a consulting company that prides itself in securing government contracts for private entities and a close working relationship with DHS, DoD and DoJ and has secured millions of dollars for his clients from these contracts. Serious conflicts of interest there.
Almost as if something has had an anti-drain effect on the swamp.

By far the biggest one so far is the massive, ongoing crypto pump-and-dump ("Trump & Drump") scam, off of which he's still making a ton. He even had one for the wife. He's estimated to be closing in on $3 BILLION in scam dollars since his inauguration alone.

I agree that the crypto scam os probably the most lucrative grift. But the free jet is the most visible sign of grift.
Crypto is confusing and certainly is for maga. But its easy to see the grift in a jet. It will be a visible sign of corruption for centuries.

Trump will probably be dead before he flies in it. Then we can all party.
